(More customer reviews)First of all, this is considered a "prop", not really a true poker set. It's not as big as many of the commercial sets on the market today. There are indeed 2 decks of cards here, but one consists only of 54 different joker cards. The other is a standard deck that has been defaced by the Joker. Each card has its own little graffiti design, while some appear burned (they aren't).
There are four different colors of chips, each with Joker's face on them. There are also five green dice. All of this comes in an aluminum case with the Dark Knight symbol on it and more graffiti.
If you play with this deck, it'll be more for the novelty value than for actual gameplay. There are enough chips for a two player game, but not enough for many more than that. This is mostly for display value as the cards are not that great of a quality and probably won't hold up to much abuse as a standard Bicycle deck would have. Still, if you're looking for something incredibly cool to display and show off, this is a great choice. If you're looking for something to really play, there are much better, cheaper alternatives.

My favorite Titan turned out beautifully in this mini-bust, based on artwork from the popular Terry Dodson! I own the Donna Troy bust as well and Starfire is a tad bit larger than Donna, making me glad to see they increased the size of this line a tiny bit with the second wave.
Perfect gift for any fans of the New Teen Titans and/or Starfire in general. Starfire rocks!

Superman/ Batman Series 6 Green Lantern Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)When I first bought this figure, I was a bit unsure because it wasn't one of the official Green Lantern figures, but it was designed based on one of my favourite artists and the person who made this figure went to lengths to portray that art intot he figure with great detail. The paint job is excellent though I really do like the paint job on the new exclusive Blackest Night Hal Jordan. Now that figure uses the moldings of this figure, except for the left hand and the right hand lacks the ball joint that the figure previously mentioned. THe color does not smear or overlap. Also the chest has one additional detail, the green lantern symbol raised by green energy or rather green plastic but it does look nice. Especially when you put the gloved construct onto his right hand, it just makes it look cool. One thing is that the figure is bigger than past Green Lantern figures and finally, Hal looks like he can stand with the likes of Batman and Superman. The biggest problem is the lantern. It is not well constructed and the handle keeps seperating when you move it strange. Even more so is that since Hal's left hand is permanently balled into a fist, he cannot hold it. I ask you then, why does he have it if he can't hold it. it's unnecessary and brings down an excelent figure. Either way, this figure is a must buy for DC Direct fans and Green Lantern fans.

Superman/ Batman Series 6 Despero Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)The Superman/Batman Despero action figure from (series 6) is a good collector's item for those fans of this Alien conquer of worlds. The design faithfully reproduces the art of Ethan Van Sciver from the Superman/Batman comic arc Superman/Batman, Vol. 5: Enemies Among Us. This particular design for Despero, who is one of the Justice Leagues' oldest enemies, is very reminiscent of his modern age appearances such as:
Keith Giffen's run on "Justice League America" (specifically issues #38-42)Justice League America - Issue Number 39 - June 1990
Geoff Johns' JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice (which is THE reason that this rendition is part of my collection)
Kurt Busiek's Trinity Vol. 1 Trinity Vol. 2 (Trinity (DC Comics)) Trinity Vol. 3
The figure is decently hefty due to Despero's hulking mass. It stand 8" in height, has 9 points of articulation, and a very clean paint application which enhance the figure's appearance greatly(from the gold colored third eye to the various magentas used to give Despero's features definition). There is also a great amount of detail present on this figure from the dorsal fin crowning his head to the texture on his skin on his feet. Due to Despero's hunched shoulders and limited number of joints, the number of poses that are available are quite few.
The figure is an excellent display piece and will make fans of those who love the vicious monstrous version of Despero are sure to be very happy.

(More customer reviews)This figure was a fantastic and accidental find. Luthor looks just as Alex Ross envisions him. The attention to detail in this figure is wonderful. He is also highly posable and comes with a nifty little stand to display him. I would say that this is a figure purely for collectors. He comes with no accessories, but he does glow in the dark. I couldn't recommend this highly enough to someone who loves the DC Universe. This would be a fine addition to any fan's collection :D

Batman Family Multi-Part Statue: Part 3: Batwoman and Commissioner Gordon Review

(More customer reviews)This exquisitely produced statue is Part 3 of the Batman Family ensemble, which features Commissioner Gordon and its latest member, the new Batwoman. Also included here is the upper half of Batman (with cape). Once the other two interlocking pieces (# 1 - Nightwing & Huntress) and (# 2 - Catwoman & Robin) are put together, then you will have the legendary Dark Knight, with his cape extended, standing behind his extended family.
Overall, the promotional photos are dead on as to the product you will receive upon purchase. I highly recommend this statue to Batman fans (ages 12 and up).
Rating: 10/10 (Outstanding)
P.S. It is still possible to prop Batman's upper half up behind Gordon & Batwoman. I would suggest adding perhaps a black fabric or cardboard backdrop to cover up Batman's missing legs; still, the final result should look great!

(More customer reviews)From Wave 5 of the best-selling Alex Ross-designed 'Justice' series, Oliver 'Green Arrow' Queen is the Justice League's resident Robin Hood whose fast-draw archery skills make him a deadly foe against anyone.
What is truly great about this figure is that the promotional photos exactly match (and I mean exactly) the finalized product. Oliver Queen has never looked better in this well-articulated rendition featuring the expected accessories of a quiver, a green bow, and one extra arrow for him to pose with on the silver & black stand provided.
I've noticed with some figures in the Justice series that the visual quality tends to somewhat vary depending upon the character, but Green Arrow at least is presented here at the top of his game.
I highly recommend this figure for fans of the Emerald Archer and for anyone who enjoys action figure collecting.

Dark Knight Batman Statue Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this statue from a local comic book store and am very happy with this item. The statue is highly detailed and a great collectible. It is not a toy and can break easily because it is made out of cold-cast porcelain, so I would only recommend this statue to collectors.
The statue has a slight difference to it than the marketing images shown online of it. The statue does not have separations/gaps between the arm joints and legs as seen in some of the images. The final product has all of the joints fully fused--which is much better and complete. The other difference that I've noticed is that the paint on Batman's utility belt is a darker yellow-gold than in the marketing images and the bat logo on Batman's chest is not a glossy black like in the pictures.
When I pre-ordered the statue I had a hard time deciding between the Batman and Joker statues. After buying the Batman statue and seeing pictures of the final Joker statue, I am so glad I made the choice of buying the Batman statue. The final Joker statue looks much different than the marketing pictures. The Joker statue does not look like Heath Ledger, has a more exaggerated ovular head than the marketing images, and has a terrible paint job, especially in comparison to it's marketing images. If you're looking to collect a Heath Ledger Joker figure, I would recommend getting your hands on the 1:6 scale figure, also designed by Kolby Jukes, which has a much better likeness to Heath Ledger, real fabric for the clothing, and detailed movie-specific items.
Overall, the final Dark Knight Batman statue is really fantastic and shows off the new bat-suit in a unique way with Batman in mid-flight and the cape as the statue's base. I highly recommend this statue.

Female characters are often the most sought after by collectors, so the idea of creating a series which reinvents the female characters of the DC Comics universe in the style of Japanese anime is brilliant. The statues are all beautifully sculpted and imaginatively reinvented, blending two iconic forms of entertainment.
The Robin Figure is one of the best figures I've seen of the more recent ones. The female Robin has been re-styled as a funky, punky, cosplay club kid (albeit one who could kick your butt).
