Reina Soho is a secondary character of "Witchblade," an anime series based on the famous American comic book by the same name. Instead of an adaptation of the original story, the producers decided to create an entire new setup, with all new characters. The anime is being directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi (director of Galaxy Angel & Galaxy Angel Z) and the character designs are done by Uno Makoto (character designer of the Gravion TV Series & Stellvia). She is a Neogene cloneblade who works as a Forensics Medicine Specialist in the NSWF (National Scientific Welfare Foundation). She is a strong and intelligent woman. Ikki Tousen Chouun Black Swimsuit Review

(More customer reviews)I highly recommend this item to fans and non-fans of Ikki Tousen. This Figure is beautifully sculpted and rests on a perfect display platform, which is optional. Looking at it brings such a relaxing feeling, as if she doesn't have a care in the world. It might make a great stress relieving item for some.
Her small bathing suit wears itself well on her body, almost hugging her lovingly (then again, who wouldn't?)
Her bikini can be removed, exposing her completely and intensifying the feeling of liberation in her expression. It is easy to remove and replace, however the material is very thin, therefore very fragile, but the simplicity of the task makes it difficult to render any accidental misshandling.
In total, there are 7 pieces:
1. The body (including arms and legs)
2. The Head and Innertube (all one piece)
3. Bikini top
4. Bikini bottom
5. Flat water platform
6 & 7. Identical Platform stands
Her head can be removed, but not completely. Her hair is connected to the innertube and can not be removed (I can't remove it). Her hair is also connected to her head, and the position of her arms prevents one from completely removing her head.
If you do purchase this figure, don't worry about putting the rods in the holes on the stand. I had trouble fitting it all together, but in the end you really don't need the extra bits. There's a quarter-pipe shaped "seat" located on the flat blue water that hugs her right buttock well enough to support her on the stand. If you or any one in your family is allergic to nudity, you might develop an immunity when you see this figure; it is just beautiful.
Recommended highly to those who admire finely sculpted masterpieces.
Avoid direct sunlight, hard impacts, sharp surfaces and dust.

Odin Sphere: SIF EX Velvet PVC Figure Review

(More customer reviews)As someone who's never purchased a PVC figure before, and never thought that he would, I was awestruck by Velvet. This piece of art is truly worthy of the game it is pulled from. The details on this statue are incredible, and her design is really faithful to the game. The only gripes I have with Velvet is that her chain hangs loose around her wrists and there is no good solution for making it look more dynamic. It kind of just drapes against her legs. The base, while serving its purpose and looking adequate, could look a little less plastic too.
If you love Odin Sphere and want a constant reminder of how beautiful that game is, look no further. At the very least, Velvet will always attract attention and start a conversation.

(More customer reviews)NECA continues their excellent BioShock line with a great exclusive set. The main figure, Subject Omega, is a repaint of the previous Subject Delta figure. Though lacking a drill arm, he comes with an exclusive Launcher weapon. NECA's reputation for textures remains solid; all the metal and cloth surfaces are appropriately textured and look very real. The paintjob, just as vital, is also up to par with few over-painted areas.
Subject Omega comes with a Little Sister in an exclusive polka-dotted red dress. Even she has accessories! An ADAM harvesting tool that fits in her hand and an adorable tiny Big Daddy doll. Her paintwork is similarly excellent, right down to her dirty, mud-flecked feet.
Rounding out the set is a life-size Splicer mask. The resin is solid, and is probably far more durable than it feels. It has an elastic band so you can wear it, but the glue holding the band on doesn't seem very strong. You could probably wear it at a Halloween party or a convention, but it will feel more at home as a display piece.
All in all, this set is practically perfect. All three parts really show the quality of NECA's work, and will be perfect on any collector's shelves.

However, the paint on her [...] (and probably other places) can chip VERY easily.
I didn't even notice the small paint chip on her [...] until I looked, after I had set her down (and not very hard either!). I'm glad it's a very small scratch/chip but her paint shouldn't have come off that easily. Just be careful with Faye. ^.~ (As COWBOY BEBOP fans have already learned. . .)

(More customer reviews)Agnes is one of the more colorful members of my little family /collection. The sculpturing of this figurine in excellent and she is clothed perfectly. I remove my figurines from the original box (I know, I should not do this, but I do no buy these for resale), and they go into a dust free glass cabinet. Ureshiko is a bit different that most of my collection but I love the pose she is in and she does add a flash of color to the collection. As with all this type of collectable, these are NOT children's toys, and in fact are rather unsuitable as far as I am concerned. My little Agnes here shows quite a bit of her good stuff and it is not for younger eyes. The price on this one is right and in fact is considerably less that I paid for her at a show. Am very happy with this one.

McFarlane Monsters Series 4: Twisted Fairy Tales - Gretel 6" Review

(More customer reviews)The story of "Hansel and Gretel" is more than a warning against children talking to strangers (or trying to eat their houses). The recurring image of the forest in German fairy tales is a supernatural world where interesting things happen, while the fact the father of Hansel and Gretel is a woodcutter is significant because this was one of the lowliest occupations at that time. Therefore, what we have here is the triumph of the poor working class characters over the witch and her upper class pretentions (she stores not only treasure but food), which would make her death some sort of proto-Marxist warning if you are ideologically inclined in that direction.
In the original manuscript of the story of the siblings were referred to as Little Brother and Little Sister. The Brothers Grimm chose Hansel because it was a common name in German fairy tales (their equivalent of John Doe so to speak) and picked Gretel for essentially the same reason (which makes her Jane Doe). Gretel (or Gretchen) is a form of the name Margaret, which in Latin (Margarita) means "pearl."
All that background makes it rather ironic that for its Twisted Fairy Tale series McFarlane Toys has turned Gretel into a German princess, striking a pose that suggests "Getting lost in the woods is the least of her worries." This six-inch figure has tattoos, a spiked collar around her neck, and torn fish net stockings. There are more details for you to discover when you look over the figure carefully, and while she is not exactly a princess of bondage, Gretel appears to be familiar with the neighborhood. She also has a mop and a pail, and there is ample reason to think she knows how to use them (the mind reels at the possibilities for rewriting the Grimms tale).
Twisted Fairy Tales is the fourth series of McFarlane's Monsters, and the rest of the menagerie consists of not only Gretel's tag team partner Hansel, but Red Riding Hood, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, and Little Miss Muffet. If you were aware about the probable origins of a lot of the classic fairy tales then you already knew that Mother Goose had a twisted sense of humor. With these figures McFarlane Toys certainly takes being twisted to the next level. Even if you do not want the entire set, there should be one of these figures that captures the Jungian dark side of the tales that we were all raised on once upon a time that most appeals to you.

(More customer reviews)This figure was a fantastic and accidental find. Luthor looks just as Alex Ross envisions him. The attention to detail in this figure is wonderful. He is also highly posable and comes with a nifty little stand to display him. I would say that this is a figure purely for collectors. He comes with no accessories, but he does glow in the dark. I couldn't recommend this highly enough to someone who loves the DC Universe. This would be a fine addition to any fan's collection :D

Amok Time Elvira: Mistress of the Dark Deluxe 7" Action Figure (Winking Version) Review

(More customer reviews)The packaging is a bit confusing, as it seems to indicate this is not the "Winking Version" of the two Elvira action figures this manufacturer makes, so at first I thought I'd received the less-expensive version and was about to return it. But closer inspection revealed this IS the "Winking Version" and the back of the box is advertising the other version available--the "Non-Winking-Version," I assume. ;-D It is smaller than I thought it would be, but there is no complaint about the quality of the design or manufacture and the attention to detail--this IS a miniature Elvira, one that I'm sure "Elvira," Cassandra Peterson, thinks is pretty cool, too (in fact, I first saw this figure on her website when she posted a picture of it and seemed to like it). It's very appealing, fun, and definitely captures the personality of Elvira with its facial expression and pose. I recommend it to fans and collectors.

Personal disclaimer, I don't have all of them, but I do have more than I'd like to count quickly and he is the sweetest of a pretty awesome line of figures. I'd rank this particular sculpt pretty high. Apparently pretty hard to find as well.
Regardless, five star review for a five star figure. The Dark Lord doesn't need much to pull it off, apparently. Metaphorically speaking of course.
