Gurren Lagann Yomako Teacher Ver. 1/8 PVC Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I have a growing collection of the 1/7 and 1/8 scale PVC statues. Yomoko was my 6th purchase and because of it I now understand something about the quality of Alter statues.
The finish on this PVC is extremely well done. This and one other alter Yoko I purchased the same day, are the only two items in my collection that appear to be flawless out of the box.
I have others that are wonderfully made but out of the box have small blemishes that are apparent when you study them closely. Additionally the others have paint jobs that are not quite where they should be.
These alter statues, especially this one is really, clean and well executed.
Amazing levels of care were taken to be sure it shipped without any smudges or wear from shipping.
This is a fantastic piece.

Sora Kasugano 1/8 Scale Figure Review

(More customer reviews)Nice packaging. Sora Kasugano looks so moe. The paint job on her, more so for the skin, matches how she looks like in the game and her proportions are very Loli-like, which is special in my case because I rarely buy figures with loli-proportions. The towel add-on is easy to remove because it happens to be made of soft plastic, and has a nice texture too so you will not risk scratching her hands although as will all pvcs, you never really want to take off the plastic wraps on places where the paint job comes into contact with an add-on of different color.
And the item is guaranteed authentic. It has the AAA sticker on it. Collectors, always make sure that that stuff you buy are original. Never pad the pockets of the damned Chinese bootleggers.
Educational values? Well if you are an illustrator who likes moe but with little or no access to nice references for loli, then this figure is a nice bet. You can always refer to her proportions.
BTW. I bought this from AnimeWild. Other stores are iffy when shipping overseas but AnimeWild is the exception and they are friendly on your wallet too.

Xenosaga: 1/8 Scale Kos-Mos Version 4 PVC Figure Review

(More customer reviews)KOS-MOS here is a bit tacky, but has it's charms. The hair is actually purple, which looks nice in reality! And the chest is dark blue, which brings more color to the otherwise possibly washed out figure.
The face is cute, with big red eyes, but the pose is too boring for the price!
The guns are very nice additions, and the Dragon blade can become an Episode 2 gattling gun.
Final thoughts; the Bome KOS-MOS is nicer than this one. I still like it, but it is way too expensive!

This piece is setup like a 3D picture frame with Miku, the flower petals, and the bed sheets with some shape. Miku actually come disconnected from the frame and connects magnetically in place for a cool effect. You can hang it on the wall or use the stand. Great detail! My favorite vocaloid piece to date.

The figure stand approximately 8-9 inches and a bit heavy... the wedding dress is painted in pearl white... her face in base on the new moe-ish ver. of To Heart 2 manga featured in Degenki Comics...
The Good:
The scale and wedding dress is a the wow factor for this figure... plus add the fabric veil that gives more realistic approach... She has a "full-cast feature" you can take off everything like a bride in a honeymoon hehehe!!!...
The Bad:
New Line Corporation should just mold a single body up to the legs... the V shape connecting the legs to the body is a bit annoying in cast-off mode... but it's well shape to her panty line...
Overall this is a must have figure for Tamaki fans... if your willing to spend a hundred plus... go for it...

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia: Saber PVC Statue Review

(More customer reviews)I have been a fan of the Type Moon characters for a while and Saber is my favorite so I may be a bit biased when it comes to her Figures. This figure is probably the best one made of her in this scale. It has very good detail; her face has such a good happy lively expression, the pose of her arms and legs show her sexy athletic nature without going too far, outfit is very cute and stylish, and it while it seems to be incongruous with her character for most of Fate Stay Night it lines up nicely with the Happy Saber portion of her character. I have this figure in a prominent placement close to the TV in my living room, and it tends to make me smile when I see it. Overall a great piece of Figure Artwork.

Gurren Lagann Movie: Yoko Ani-Statue Review

(More customer reviews)As a big fan of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann series and characters, especially Yoko, I knew that she will eventually make it to my collection. At 1/6 scale, it a sizable figure and the attention to detail makes this an awesome sculpt of Yoko. The fact that she comes with interchangeable faces (winking, smiling) and hair clips (winking, normal and crazy eyes) means you can customize her appearance to your taste. The paint is smooth and colors work great. Yoko sits atop a clear base which is subtle and her pose is cute and flirty. I love the way her hair is long and flowing. It's a bit red but for whatever reason, it looks perfect on her. Her scarf is removable but you will need to remove her head to do so, but why would you? Her rifle is extremely detailed down to the bullets in the chamber, strap and scope. One of her boots is separate and lays by figure to get her the sense of Yoko relaxing after a long day fighting the Gunmen.
As a collector, I've read reviews of each product before I buy them so that I can maximize my funds to make an informed purchase because these figures do get quite expensive. After scouring for information on this Yoko figure and then finally ordering her, I can safely say that it was one of my best purchases.
The service through Amazon has been great and the seller delivered her in a protective box with speedy service. Highly recommended if you deciding between several other figures, you won't be disappointed. =)

(More customer reviews)The only thing I can say is...wow, this is one halluva erotic collection for anime/dojin fans. This figure is originated from a slip art page of a H-manga called Girls. There is no konwn story behind the character, nor any indication of her name; yet the mystery behind this nameless beauty is what attracts collectors into emptying their wallet for this sedusive figurine. Overall, Maxfactory did an awesome job on the texture, detailed scurlping, paint finishing,and design on the product. Fantastic pose and abundant amount of accessories are also a plus for this figure. Another important point worth mentioning is that this figure is relatively cheap compared to the girls from the same line. I would definately rate it 10/10. Well done, Maxfactory.

(More customer reviews)This piece is really cute but nothing to brag about for me. Her outfit is Grey and Black. I personally don't like the grey color in her outfit. If it was completely black then that would be a good thing. Coloring is good and pretty much close to character and well proportioned. Her eyes don't seem to be painted evenly. Even though I don't rate her highly she has grown on me. All and all it's a nice piece.

(More customer reviews)You don't usually buy still models to have a good time. I certainly purchased mine only for its image, which is fabulous. Most people interested in purchasing such a thing are looking to add it to their collection of several figurines. I didn't have any, and I wont be getting anymore. I simply wanted one really excellent one from my favorite show, as a type of physical representation of it. If this is the type of thing you also want, then its worth its cost. Every centimeter of the figure is detailed, and its all done perfectly. Bottom of the shoes, the fingernails are painted, the ribbons that flow off of Haruhi are rubbers and not fragile at all. Flexible enough to survive from a fall (As the day I got it my sibling knocked it off of my desk) and take no damage.

(More customer reviews)I've had this figure for about a year now. It is very nice to look at. It is not quite to scale with the Ohno figure available elsewhere which is a little sad. She does fall over a lot, but has had no breakage issues. Not sure I want to go the super glue route quite yet. A note not mentioned in the packaging: you can get her to hold the helmet also. At least I did. Looks much nicer than just sitting at her feet or on her head. After all I want to look at her, not the hat.
