My only problem is that they seem to be a bit too large. I have regular-sized hands, and I found that the fingers of the gloves still had a lot of "play" in them, a lot of extra room. I guess those of you with big honkin' fingers might end up rating this item higher.

Batman Family Multi-Part Statue: Part 3: Batwoman and Commissioner Gordon Review

(More customer reviews)This exquisitely produced statue is Part 3 of the Batman Family ensemble, which features Commissioner Gordon and its latest member, the new Batwoman. Also included here is the upper half of Batman (with cape). Once the other two interlocking pieces (# 1 - Nightwing & Huntress) and (# 2 - Catwoman & Robin) are put together, then you will have the legendary Dark Knight, with his cape extended, standing behind his extended family.
Overall, the promotional photos are dead on as to the product you will receive upon purchase. I highly recommend this statue to Batman fans (ages 12 and up).
Rating: 10/10 (Outstanding)
P.S. It is still possible to prop Batman's upper half up behind Gordon & Batwoman. I would suggest adding perhaps a black fabric or cardboard backdrop to cover up Batman's missing legs; still, the final result should look great!

It doesn't look quite as good as the picture on here (they never do), but it does look very nice and is a great collectable for any fan of The Joker, Heath Ledger, or The Dark Knight movie. I put mine by my computer and he is shaking his head at me right now. I think he wants me to stop talking about him.

The box came in mint condition, not a single wear and tear from delivery, and the statue itself is perfect - the painting, the styling, the size. It's everything I expected. Amazon does it again for me. Thumbs up to them too.
This statue is JUST like the original statue but you can place it on your desk without being obtrusive. I have several larger DC versus statue, and they have to be shelved because of their size. This is perfect. Extra pluses on the size. I hope DC continues making more because, after getting this mini statue, I want to get the rest. I know for sure that there will be a Green Lantern vs Sinestro mini statue in the near future. I hope Amazon carries this one too.
Get this. You won't regret it. I kind of want to put this on a lazy susan because this looks good from multiple angles.
BTW It's not a kids toy. The entire thing is made of porcelin or resin (there's no plastic), so you need to handle the statue with fair caution. It's really durable for it's size but not rugged like a real toy.
One more thing, the little pegs on Flash's feet is kind of troublesome to put into the holes. They are really small. Unlike the larger DC versus statues (which are a breeze to put in), this one takes a skilled hand. Well, you just have to put it in once, so it's not a big deal.UPDATE: I changed the score from 5 to 4 because I found a rather minor (but annoying) paint flaw on the Flash part of the statue. Kind of like a few dead pixels right in the middle of the monitor. Flash's ear pieces weren't painted fully. It's obvious from the sides or at slight angles but hidden when looking straight on. Will post pictures when I have time. Honestly, it's not worth sending it back because no hand painted statues are ever rarely perfect.

Dark Knight Batman Statue Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this statue from a local comic book store and am very happy with this item. The statue is highly detailed and a great collectible. It is not a toy and can break easily because it is made out of cold-cast porcelain, so I would only recommend this statue to collectors.
The statue has a slight difference to it than the marketing images shown online of it. The statue does not have separations/gaps between the arm joints and legs as seen in some of the images. The final product has all of the joints fully fused--which is much better and complete. The other difference that I've noticed is that the paint on Batman's utility belt is a darker yellow-gold than in the marketing images and the bat logo on Batman's chest is not a glossy black like in the pictures.
When I pre-ordered the statue I had a hard time deciding between the Batman and Joker statues. After buying the Batman statue and seeing pictures of the final Joker statue, I am so glad I made the choice of buying the Batman statue. The final Joker statue looks much different than the marketing pictures. The Joker statue does not look like Heath Ledger, has a more exaggerated ovular head than the marketing images, and has a terrible paint job, especially in comparison to it's marketing images. If you're looking to collect a Heath Ledger Joker figure, I would recommend getting your hands on the 1:6 scale figure, also designed by Kolby Jukes, which has a much better likeness to Heath Ledger, real fabric for the clothing, and detailed movie-specific items.
Overall, the final Dark Knight Batman statue is really fantastic and shows off the new bat-suit in a unique way with Batman in mid-flight and the cape as the statue's base. I highly recommend this statue.

(More customer reviews)Well first of all I have to say that I really like this figure. The clothes are really well done as well as other stuff like the accessories. The price was pretty easy on the pocket (well not now), and it's made very well over-all. But now here comes the gripes. The head sculpt is argued against the Hot Toys version all of the time, with people saying that the DC direct version is more accurate. That may be true due to the fact, DC took a head scan of Leger so it's really hard to beat that. But where they messed up royally is the paint (and the hair sculpt even though I can live with it)that was applied. It is too perfect, and kind of misses the point of being realistic like in the movie. The Hot Toys figure definately has it beat in that department. Well to tell you the truth, the Hot Toys has this figure beat on just about every avenue, BUT, I really think this figure was a huge step for DC direct. It is pure quality! It's just not as upscale as the Hot Toys version. But then again, you're not spending a million dollars on it either, like you do with the Hot Toys. I put the figures side by side and think the Hot Toys version is far superior, but I really dig the DC Direct one alot. If you can ,get them both. But in a realistic world, you might not be able to. This figure rocks really hard and hold tons of potential for repaints to make him look alot cooler. It is worth getting, and I am still very impressed, just not as impressed as with the Hot Toys. IT IS A GREAT TOY, TRUST ME!!!!

(More customer reviews)Hot Toys has out done themselves with this their newest version of the Joker. The head sculpts likeness to Heath Ledger is so good its almost scary. This version also takes advantage of the new PERS system which allows you to take off the back of the head and change the direction that they eye balls are looking. It works very well but be gently when adjusting. The quality is typical Hot Toys, mean outstanding. You also get almost two figure in one and for the price Amazon is changing that is a steal.
This version comes with the complete Gotham Police Department Uniform and M1 Garand from the assassination scene in the movie. It also comes with movie accurate pants, shirt, coat, jacket, socks and shoes from the scene where the Joker talks to all the villains in the kitchen. It also comes with the grenades from that scene as well as seven different sets of hands. And there is a knife thrown in for good measure.
This version is a significant upgrade in quality and in detail from Hot Toys first Joker figure. If you were to pick up an extra Hot Toy body from one of the 1/6 shops online you could easily built this into two different figures and still be far below $200. If you are a fan of the new Batman Movies, of 1/6 scale figure, or both then this would be hard to miss and I haven't found it for a price better than Amazon currently has it anywhere. ($135 at the time I write this review).

Batman Dark Knight Child Deluxe Joker Clown Mask Review

(More customer reviews)I JUST got this in the mail and I have to say I am VERY pleased. It shipped fast and was in perfect condition. I can't say I really have any complaints.
Overall, it is a good quality mask. This is the mask you see The Joker wearing during the bank robbery scene in the opening of the film. It's made of latex (I think--whatever is typical of those rubbery masks) and has two black straps attached together with Velcro. It fits 3/4 of your head, which is similar to the movie. The mask doesn't look exactly like the movie but it's close enough. In the movie the mask looks a little meaner with the eyebrows curved down.
I bought the adult size one at Hot Topic, but it was WAY too big. If you see other people's reviews for that one, too, they'll say that the mask is probably made for people with big heads. I have a smaller head so that's why I went with the kid size (I'm a size 7 in New Era hats for reference). This mask here actually fits onto my face exactly how I imagined it should be. The link below is a picture of the costume I put together myself. The shirt is an old 70's shirt from when my family had a theme party.
[...]To really complete this costume, you just need a gun (fake of course) and a smoke frag attached to a loose thread on the back of your coat. Then you have to practice saying, "Whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you...stranger."

LEGO Batman - The Batmobile: Ultimate Collectors' Edition Review

(More customer reviews)The batmobile is beautiful. Lots of pieces in the set, not too many of the lame 'special' pieces (not nearly as bad as the harry potter kits). I particularly liked how they did the wheel logos - they printed a bat symbol on an old satellite dish from the old spaceship sets. And there's plenty of other stuff you can build with this kit, as long as it's black.
But, the black pieces are the big drawback - the instruction manual doesn't print the bumps on black bricks well at all. It is very hard to tell exactly what piece is in the manual, making it much harder to build the pictured car. Still, any kid or collector should be very pleased with this set.
