X-Men Bowen Designs Cable Mini-Bust Review

Sculpt is excellent. Love the metallic arm as well as the fine detailing of his face, including the headset.
Re the paint job--the shade of blue on his outfit is a bit lighter than the picture on amazon.com, but that is not a complaint.
Note: the gun is HUGE!
Also, VERY COOL box art.
A must-have for any fan of Cable.

Marvel Milestones Hawkeye Statue Review

(More customer reviews)Given his rough history with the Marvel universe, it's great to see Hawkeye (and Ant Man) get such incredibly detailed treatment here. The statue is gorgeous, and is an almost picture-perfect replica of the cover to Avengers #223. The details on Ant Man are incredible too, especially given his small size on the arrowhead. There's even a bowstring showing on here, a nice touch. For the price, you can't beat this collectible. I have no doubt the value will skyrocket once it's sold out, so grab it while you still can.

The questions are relatively easy, but if you're playing with other people, this is part of the fun, as you race to see who can shout out the answer first. The DVD game modes are diverse and interesting, including clips, comic book covers, and other games based on either pictures or words (fill-in-the blank, scramble, etc.)
If you enjoy Scene It! (basically Trivial Pursuit with a DVD), then you'll like this game as well, as it is similar to other games in the franchise.

Marvel Select Mephisto Action Figure Review

Personal disclaimer, I don't have all of them, but I do have more than I'd like to count quickly and he is the sweetest of a pretty awesome line of figures. I'd rank this particular sculpt pretty high. Apparently pretty hard to find as well.
Regardless, five star review for a five star figure. The Dark Lord doesn't need much to pull it off, apparently. Metaphorically speaking of course.

Sinister Six Series: Doc Ock Statue Review

(More customer reviews)Spider-Man has fought many fearsome foes over the years, but one of his most deadliest encounters was with the Sinister Six. Founded by Doctor Octopus, the Sinister Six first appeared in 1963 and consisted of Doc Ock, Kraven, Sandman, Electro, Mysterio and Vulture. After the death of Kraven, a new member, the Hobgoblin joined the six.
Doc Ock shown here is part of the Sinister Six released by Diamond Select. Doc Ock measures 12 inches tall but his metallic arms and base stand makes him look taller. He actually is more taller and wider then expected. Display him individually or with Spider-Man and the rest of the Sinister Six to recreate a diorama of one of Spider-Man's most fearsome battles with his most deadliest villains.
However this is not a toy and I would not recommend it for children. This statue is semi-fragile and I would display it on a high shelf and keep it safe from pets as well.
This statue was sculpted by Jeff Feligno and limited to 2500 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. I would recommend this for anyone who collects Marvel or DC.

From any angle the figure looks great and is posed in a peak action stance that really looks like it might move at any moment. The size is large and imposing. When I saw all the Narnia figures on display in the Weta Workshop booth at ComicCon before the film's release, this is the one that jumped out at me. I would recommend this figure to any collector of fiction statuary. If you are a fan of the Narnia movies, this is a must=have!

Disguise Iron Man Movie Quality Muscle Comics Super Hero Costume Review

(More customer reviews)Don't laugh - my 8 month old son wore this costume for Halloween this year. Granted, he's a hefty guy - all I had to do was cut off the length in the arms and legs, and it was a perfect fit.
It look like the muscle pads were just sewn inside the standard sized costume. This (obviously) takes up a lot of the interior room, making the arm holes, in particular, quite small. Would it stretch on a bigger kid, and just look even more like bulging muscles? Perhaps... Just calling it like I see it.

My Marvel Heroes Monopoly Review

(More customer reviews)Being a big Marvelite, I bought this game hoping that, as was done with the Lord of The Rings monopoly, the game would have some kind of fun Marvel twist. Unfortunately it's just barebones monopoly for the most part. The one fun thing about it is that it comes with a huge selection of decals you can put on the spaces to customize your board. These decals range in all kinds of character from fan-favorites to people who non-comic readers wouldn't recognize (and some who you wonder why they're even an option, like Absorbing Man). The game pieces are quite disappointing in their craftsmanship, with the only piece being very good detail is that of Kingpin. You'd think with bigger-name characters like Wolverine, Spider-Man, or the Phoenix, they'd pay more attention to detail, but that's not the case.
If you're a fan of monopoly and a fan of marvel, it's a fun buy. but don't be surprised if you find more enjoyment in selecting your decals for the board than actually playing.

Iron Man 2008 Movie Child Costume Review

(More customer reviews)Overall, I'm not impressed with the quality of this costume. So, I will attempt to give you the details that aren't described here by Amazon, so that you can make a more informed decision as to whether or not to purchase this costume.
The fabric is thin, and the details are simply printed on the fabric. There are no embellishments, no padding in the chest ("muscles"). It is a one-piece jumpsuit. For those who live in cold climates, consider that your child will need to wear something under it to be comfortable in the evening, because the fabric is so thin.
As for the size, I'd say it's pretty "true." I got a 4-6 (small) for my son who typically wears a 5. It's a very good fit, with enough room to fit sweats underneath.
The mask is flimsy, as others have mentioned. One reviewer said that it's translucent. True, you can see through it, but only dark/light (like seeing through a foggy shower door). Your child will need to rely on the eye slits to truly see where he/she is going. I question how well my son can see out of it, since he would put it up to walk around the house when he tried it on.
All that said, my son loves it! If your child is like mine, he/she will wear the costume often, just for dress up. If this describes your child, it's worth the money.
If this isn't your child (ie: it's a Halloween-only costume), my opinion is that it's kind of a lot to spend, considering the cheap quality of this particular version of the costume.

Hasbro Heroscape Marvel Game Set Review

(More customer reviews)I've become a big fan of Heroscape over the past few years, and I'm consistently impressed by the quality of the product, as well as the creative new additions to the line. Heroscape is billed as a "Build and Battle" game system - it consists of many kinds of interlocking plastic tiles of varying sizes representing different kinds of terrain. Figures representing heroes and squads from different eras and different genres (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, action movies, etc.) do battle on this terrain in a game that is both extremely fun and very easy to learn (and get sucked into). Heroscape: Marvel is the latest additon to this ever-expanding miniatures game, and is a worthy addition at that.
Heroscape: Marvel includes everything you'll need to play a Heroscape game right out of the box: terrain (representing grass, asphault, and concrete), a two-story ruin, dice, numerous kinds of markers, 10 Marvel Comics pre-painted figures (very nicely done and very sturdy), and 10 game cards outlining what powers each figure has. The game is also accompanied by an illustrated full-color, detailed and easy-to-learn rulebook. The 10 playable characters in the game are: Spider-Man, Captain America, Silver Surfer, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thanos, Red Skull, Venom, Dr. Doom, and The Abomination.
As an avid Heroscape player, I have to say that this is one of the most ingenious expansions of the game thus far - adding in the Marvel characters will add a whole new dimension to the game - although, beware: the included figures look exceptionally powerful. This game is completely integrated into the pre-existing Heroscape format, so if you already have Heroscape sets, you'll be able to bring this set in seemlessly. If you're completely new to the game, this is a perfect place to start. You'll be amazed by the quality and the hours of fun that Heroscape will bring to people of all ages. Highly recommended; designed for children 8 and up.

The 3.75" Titanium Hulk is presented with an elaborate nameplate base and a translucent plastic display bubble. Standing atop a pile of rubble, the Hulk is in the process of bursting free of the display bubble. He wants to disentangle himself from his pitiful cage and begin pounding the stuffing out of all other figures in his vicinity. As the Hulk, this is his job. Help him along by providing the appropriate battlefield.Spawned by gamma radiation, the Hulk was an entity triggered from within innocuous scientist Bruce Banner. The original Hulk marked a separate personality in which Bannera?TMs keen scientific mind was nearly suffocated. Despite his erroneous vilification, the Hulk battled against deranged villains and even planetary-caliber threats. All the while Banner, in the interim, attempted to quell his savage transformation and devise a means to either control or completely eradicate it.

Marvel Legends Series 3 > Cyclops Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)Yes! The leader of the X-Men finally got the upgrade he deserves! This is a souped up version of Cyclops for all of those out there who are collecting X-Men Marvel Legends. The figure's articulation overall is excellent, as is the sculture - i.e. the square jaw, deadpan face of Cyclops is well placed. The only negatives I have for this figure would be the poor choice of articulation for the hands. It would be nice if he could do a fist.
It's also nice that they scaled down his size so that he can stand next to the Emma Frost figure without her looking like he's about to eat her.
The only other downside of this figure which you must absolutely have especially if you have an X-Man collection, is that they should have had a variant made with his cowl off. In fact, given the recent developments in Astonishing X-Men, there should be two variants, both without the cowl; one with ruby quartz glasses, and one without them.
Must buy!

Cyclops is equipped with a dark blue costume that looks well-suited to the tasks of treasure hunting and deep sea diving. His mask is equipped with his adjustable ruby visor. Cyclops has the ability to discharge graviton beams from his eyes. He generates a constant mind field to keep the destructive force behind the eye blasts in check, and in this way he can block the beams by just shutting his eyes. Still though, as long as his eyes are open, even though he can dictate the intensity of the blasts, he requires his special visor. Hea?TMs a core member of the X-men, serving as leader under Professor X.

I have been collecting the ame-comi and the bishojo since dc and marvel started doing them. I have each and every one and have rarely been dissatisfied. That being sed this alt rogue is one of my faves. I have heard from some that the base don't hold the figures up sometimes on some of the diffrent figures but they are beautiful in there box. They are windowed very nicely so no prob seeing them in there box so seriously what collector would even think of taking them out of there box and using the stand. Oh and just in there is a parent reading this. This is NOT a toy. I know that amazon lists it as a toy but it don't move you can't play with it it is a collector statue. The enjoyment is in the art and not playing with it and it is wonderful art using high quality material to make it. If your a collector or a fan of rogue this is a must
