Zombie Prom Queen Adult Costume Review

Zombie Prom Queen Adult Costume

This costume in a large is supposed to be a 12 - 14. I typically wear a size 10 in a dress and 6 or an 8 in jeans or dress slacks so I figured the large would be a safe bet that I could easily adjust if it were a little too big. It is way small. I had to do major tayloring to the bodice just to zip it up. I had to add panels on either side of the zipper and even give it an inch in length at the shoulder. Otherwise it is a cute costume - the manufacturer just needs to size it properly.

Zombies Review

Zombies!!! consists of little plastic men (with shotguns), a deck of glossy cardstock street tiles, another deck of event/weapon cards, and a bag of little plastic zombies (with their stomachs torn out). I sat down and played this with four friends, and we expected maybe 45 minutes of mindless fun. What we got was almost 3 hours of backstabbing strategy as we tried to get to the helipad (and escape) while dumping as many problems (read: zombies) on each other as possible. The rules are simple yet flexible, and if you've a creatively devious mind you'll be able to accomplish a lot, at the expense of your friends.
How about the card that suddenly doubles the number of zombies in a given building? Drop that on your buddy right when he walks in to the lawn & garden store to try and get a chainsaw as a weapon. This is not a game you play with sensitive people who need to ride on the coat-tails of others to succeed; there is no Mr. Nice Guy here.
The only thing I'd recommend is the purchase of an additional bag of zombies (100 at a time) -- we ran out really quickly, after one of our group kept dropping cards on the rest of us that resulted in a series of increases in the number of undead in play.
Anyway, I ran out and bought the mall expansion pack a few days after playing it for the first time. It was a great time, and we're looking forward to playing it again.
Simply put, if you have enjoyed any of the "...of the Dead" movies, this one's for you, period.

This is a good Addition to Zombies!!! You will need the main base to play this expansion. If you like the main game you will like this expansion. It contains 15 Map Tiles for a Military Base, new cards, and Six Glow in the Dark "Military Enhanced" Zombies figures. The new Zombies move 2 spaces and are only killed on a roll of 5 or better. I give it 4 out of 5 and not 5 because I wish there were more rules about the Super Zombies and how to increase their number.

Bag o' Zombies Review

Bag o' Zombies
Average Reviews:

When trying to survive a zombie outbreak, wouldn't it be a shame if you suddenly ran out of the undead? Zombies are somewhat needed when it comes to the gnashing of teeth and the spread of their horribly tragic fate, yet they run out too fast on some occasions and that can be terrible. Much like extras on the set of a movie, they can be valued and they can be loved but they are not really seen by the overall audience unless they screw up.
And needing to be recycled on a gaming board - that could be a screw up that you don't want to have.
When you play he first Zombies!, you don't have to have a lot of extras. When you add on, however, you find yourself needing a LOT of undead to populate your game. This can become a problem when you have more game cards than you have undead, and this can be ever worse when you find yourself with a lot of players and not-so-much in the "knocking them out" department. If you are a player who likes the game then this can be settled easily by getting one of three things. There are these little glowing sprites, the bag o dogs that also go to the game and then the favorite on my part - the bag o undead babies. They all help to populate the game and they all love to love players back.
Its so sexy.
For novice and hardcore player alike, this is the way to beef up the game. I personally think everyone should get a bag of these because of that AND because of the nice glowing fixation, not to mention the fact that they make nice decorum for everyday affairs.
If you are checking these out you more-than-likely know about Zombies! and you know about the fun it brings. If not, check out the game Zombies!!!and the five or so expansions it has for some real not-so-bored boardgaming fun.

Marvel Milestones Daredevil #182 Statue Review

Marvel Milestones Daredevil #182 Statue
Average Reviews:

I can't really give any educational value to a statue, nor durability as I'm pretty sure this one will break if dropped from much higher than 5 inches, not that Imma try.
Anyway, this is a pretty good version of the cover. I can't say I've seen Matt Murdock's unmasked, unhindered eyes so much, but I kind of thought they'd be slightly colored or blank... they aren't, but this statue is pretty freakin' sweet.
You can find it for under 100, especially in this economy, and while the statue is more realistically proportioned than Miller's art... it's definitely a pretty statue. Any self respecting DD fan should own this one.

I needed something Bruce Campbell related that was like an action figure or toy or SOMETHING, so I saw this one was the only one that wasn't hundreds of dollars. It is nice, about 7" tall, hand painted and hand numbered. I got number 790 something out of 1,500.

B-movie star and cult icon Bruce Campbell, star of Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Bubba Ho-Tep, and more, has co-written, directed, and starred in this upcoming wacky horror film. The title says it all! Man with the Screaming Brain tells the story of a greedy American businessman who hits on the wrong gypsy girl and lands in the grip of a mad scientist determined to get rich off a twisted double-brain-transplant scheme. Dark Horse launched a series of comics following the "director's cut" of the story. In honor of this latest extravaganza, Dark Horse produced a great Bruce Campbell bust, expertly sculpted by Sam Greenwell.

This is a great card game for 2-6 players. The game is easy to learn and it plays quickly. The art and quotes are hysterical. This is a great game to play with a few friends while hanging out, or while you're waiting for the rest of your group to show up. If you like games like Munchkin or Fluxx, you'll probably like this game.

Zombies are cool! Ninjas are cool! Pirates are cool! Mad Scientists are also cool! But the coolest thing is a card game where you get to play all four types while scoring points and getting nifty objects in your chest that make you cooler and help you win. In Zombie Ninja Pirates players try to become four different types of people -- Zombies Ninjas Pirates and Mad Scientists. During the game they can collect objects to help them or hurt their opponents. Strategy is important since players are limited on what they can do each turn. At the end of the game a fast-paced lightning round can make or break the winner.

This is a good product. I don't think that they are spending as much time with the creative aspect of the Zombies games themselves though. I also wish that some of the clowns looked a bit different instead of every clown being the same blue. We don't usually use this add-on when playing Zombies!!!

Doom: The Boardgame Review

Doom: The Boardgame
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently purchased this game and played it with a bunch of friends. I can safely say that, as long as you enjoy a dungeon crawling type game, you should enjoy this. The rules are not convoluted or terribly confusing (But for a few things the rules are not explicitly clear on). The marines have many strategies open to them (and the more marines there are, the more strategies that can be used). It would require an incredibly lengthy review to go into the mechanics of the game in detail, so I'll just give the basics.
One person plays the Invaders. They control the demons and use action cards to try and mess up the marines (like Dud, that makes one of their ammo disappear, or Jammed, which jams a weapon for a turn). Everyone else (up to three) play Marines. The more marines there are, the harder the game gets. More enemies are spawned. The marines start with less health, etc. Yet, using teamwork, it gets just as hard for the Invader player if they are good at working together.
The goals: The invader has to kill the marines a number of times, dictated by the scenerio. The Marines (usually) have to navigate the map, find the red key, and escape the red door, before that number of kills is reached. Pretty basic.
The map itself is most of the fun. It is constantly being built, since the marines cannot see what is behind a door. They take a risk opening a door, revealing a new area and new monsters for the invader to take control of.
Anyway, if that sounds like your kind of game, this is one of the best in the genre. I know we all thought it was worth the money. (Though, I'd suggest splitting on it with your friends.)

Zombies 6 Six Feet Under Review

The Sewer rules in this expansion were disappointing. The real value here is the additional tiles it gives you. There are six Subway tiles (Complete with new Subway travel rules), more intersections and named bulidings, plus a whole lot of event cards. You will need the Main game to utilize this set. Although it is not as good as Expansion 2, (Zombie Corps(e)) 3, (Mall Walkers), or 4 (School's Out) it still holds it's own. One of the GREAT things about this expansion is that the tiles are mixed in with the city tiles, and DO NOT Need to be kept in a separate stack. I like that a lot! The lost star is for the sewer rules. I feel they could have done better. All in All Thumbs up!

Zombies 4 The End 2nd Edition Review

Zombies 4 The End 2nd Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the fourth expansion for the Zombies!!! board game, and it blows away the previous three editions. Balance seems to be reached with the game play. The addition of zombie dogs adds a bit a strategy when it comes to placing the zombies, especially if you use both zombie humans and zombie dogs (which is the way I prefer). You can actually play this as a full-fledged, stand-alone version and not miss a beat, as everything you need to play is included with this edition. The addition of the pages for The Book of The Dead adds an element of strategy that is extremely welcomed. The pages can be used for their abilities against other players, or saved to help you break the spell and win the game. Nice touch. Combining the cards from the original with this one can make for a truly aggressive and fun game. Rules additions can easily be adapted to the previous three Zombies!!! games.
Since there are no street to take into account, the layout of the tiles feels a bit more free-flow and allows for better movement, but can also make parts feel a tad on the empty side once zombies start getting cleared out. Some rules still need a bit more tweaking, but are again clarified on the website. There aren't as many weapons available in this edition, which some players may see as a negative.
Overall, this is the best expansion to Zombies!!! I have played, and adds tons to the overall experience.

Zombies 2 - Zombie Corps(e) 2nd Ed Review

Zombies 2 - Zombie Corps(e) 2nd Ed
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you've played Zombies!!! but found it lacking in the strategy department, this expansion will give you what you need. The new event cards are enough by themselves, but with the addition of new map tiles, you can pursue a whole new course in the game. With this and the 3.5 expansion, after editing the deck down (removed about 20 cards), we were able to squeeze more variety into our game. Some of my friends worked towards the military base, attempting to hit the motor pool for the added movement, others chased after the helipad, while I made full use of the new event cards and scored my 25 zombie kills (which is a lot more feasible with the expansion).
The addition of the super zombies is actually very nice, as well; being able to harass your friends with a few fast-moving and hard to kill zombies makes for a new way to annoy your competition.

Zombies 2nd Edition Review

Zombies 2nd Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Zombies!!! is a game that puts style over substance. Luckily, the style is true to the genre of films it's based on. And what substance is there is quite good.
It's a very simple game. In fact, by your second or third turn (which should be about 5 minutes in), you'll have the rules down. You and the other players are stuck in a zombie infested town, searching for whatever supplies you can find until you can make it to the heliport and bid this unholy mess adieu. Players take turns laying down map tiles. This gives each game a unique quality, since the playing board will never be the same twice. There's various building for the players to explore, where they can find extra life and bullets. But, as the name so subtly suggests, there's zombies. A TON of zombies. At times, there will be so many that it seems overwhelming; just like the movies. Killing them is easy. Roll and 4, 5, or 6, and they're dead. Roll 1, 2, or 3, and you lose a life token (you start with 3 and can carry a maximum of 5). Or, if you roll low, you can spend bullet tokens. One token adds one to your die roll. Play continues until the heliport is placed and a player makes it to the center the heliport square.
This is also a mean, mean game. There's plenty of cards that you can play to annoy your opponents, all borrowing common elements from the horror genre (Your shoe's untied! You can't move this turn!). The rest of the cards will help you, although there seems to be too many that rely on being at the right place at the right time. For example, some cards will give you bonuses if you're in a certain building. If this building has already been raided, it's pointless to go back. Luckily, you're allowed to discard unwanted cards at the end of your turn. Still, it seems a waste.
I should talk somewhat about the components themselves. The cards are quite nice and feature some truly grotesque artwork (this game is not for people with a strong disliking for gory violence). The zombies are kinda cool and come in to poses (a male and a female zombie). The player pieces (called "shotgun guys" by the rules) aren't so good. Something tells me Zombies!!! didn't have too much of a budget, so it's forgivable. The map tiles are fine, and looks like the art might be computer generated.
Simply put, if you like zombie movies, and you like unwired games, you'll get plenty of enjoyment from Zombies!!! There's a huge amount of extra material out there (Dawn of the Dead fans will want to pick up Zombies 3: Mall Walkers). But you need to start here. RECOMMENDED.

Zombies 3.5 Not Dead Yet Review

Zombies 3.5 Not Dead Yet
Average Reviews:

This is a good Addition to Zombies!!! You will need the main game to play with this expansion. At first glance this expansion seems stupid, all it really is is 25 more cards for your Main Game, with a set of doubles. here are also rules for a "Constructed Deck" version of the Zombies!!! I think the "Constructed Deck" rules are unnecessary, and were probably added to attract players of collectible card games. Still the twenty five cards included in this set add a lot of variation to the game. I only give it 4 out of five stars because of the cost. For $[...] they could have printed the cards on a more durable playing card stock. Other than that , thumbs up!

Zombies 6.66 Fill in the Blank Review

Zombies 6.66 Fill in the Blank
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Twilight explains that the idea of making them completely blank is to encourage creativity. Well Mr Breiteinstein my creative designs suck!!
In the other hand.. These are a few ideas for the text I've been working on:
Zombies Are/Were People Too (x2)
Play this card in front of you while rolling a 6 in combat against a Human Zombie to return it to the z-pool. Remove this card from play at any time and use an extra dice in combat during your current turn (count only the highest result)
(So basically you realize that the Zombie you're about to kill is somebody close to you, now that zombie somehow becomes your ally and help you to fight for one turn before the whole zombieness takes control. I'm still working on finding a pictures that represents all that XD)
(Guy Biting a Zombie) (x2)
Play this card in front of you while rolling a 6 in combat against a Human Zombie, put the zombie on top of this card. Remove this card from play at any time and place the zombie on any square on the map to play your next turn. Zombie may fight and collect Tokens/Items. (Owner may spent ? heart to save Zombie during Combat)
(This is probably the most complicated card ever..just imagine yourself as a zombie and play as usual with him/her, if you lose any combat while doing it you can use ? Life token to safe the zombie from dying and continue fighting. Zombie may attack other zombies or players)
Fido (x2)
Move target Zombie-Dog up to 6 spaces, Zombie-Dog may fight and collect Tokens. (Owner may spent 1/2 heart to save Zombie-Dog during Combat)
(The zombie-dog may fight zombies as usual and collect tokens as usual, encountered players may be attacked also)
Acid Rain (x1)
Play this card on a tile with a named building on it. Zombies on your current tile must be placed into that building, if they cannot be placed inside due to zombie placement restrictions add them to your collection.
(The text is kind of confusing but this card will place all zombies on your current tile into a named building located in your current tile only. A very powerful card )
Talking Doll (x1)
Target an empty space on the map, until the end of your next turn all the zombies must try to get to that space while moving at the end of each player's turn or while making usage of any event card. Several Zombies can occupy this same space if necessary.
(Great item to get rid of a few zombies on your tile. Also useful if you are planning to create a zombie barrier to zombie-block other players)
Is Anybody There? (x2)
Target closest player is located on your square.
(This card is a great complementary item for revenge, especially when an opponent decides to take you to a different tile or to one of those zombie-crowed buildings)
Major Zurgery (x2)
During the current turn target player may exchange Hearts, Bullets or Guts with any other kind of token
(To clarify, this card is meant to be used in order to exchange Tokens with the Tokens-Pool only, not with other players)
It's a Trap!!! (x1)
Place a Sewer Token on adjacent empty space, sewer placement restrictions must apply. Zombies that walk into this space are added to your collection, players must stop movement if they run into this square. Remove it at the end of you next turn.
(This card has a lot of potential and could be used on several different cases, not only to stop zombies but players also, even yourself when necessary)
The Z-Team (x2)
Use it instead of moving zombies this turn. Place 4 enhanced zombies on any tile in which they can be placed in adjacent spaces.
(Based on the original Zombie Master Card and a recent Movie XD)
Caution! Zombies! Ahead!!! (x1)
Target Player cannot see/reveal/place new tiles until the end of their next turn.
(Just Google the title, one of my favorites indeed :)
Hammer Time / EQUIPMENT (x2)
Play this card in front of you while being on a named building. Remove this card from play to move through walls during the current turn.
(Stop.. Hamma Time !!! Very useful when used on adjacent buildings)
Binoculars / EQUIPMENT (x1)
Play this card in front of you while being on a named building. If the helicopter is revealed you can remove this card from play to roll a 6d. In a result of 1-2 place you pawn 1 tile away from the helicopter, in a 2-3 place your pawn 2 tiles away, 5-6 / 3 tiles away
(A pretty useful item. It must be already in use before the Helicopter is revealed/placed, which means that somebody may try to steal it from you. Use it wisely)
Cheerleader / EQUIPMENT (x1)
All players on your current title get a +1 bonus on combat. Only One title per turn. This card doesn't count as a Weapon and can be used in combination with others.
(Kind of obvious)
Torch / EQUIPMENT (x2)
While active, Zombies can't move into your space. Discard 1/2 Life Token at the beginning of each turn otherwise remove Torch from play. Encountered Zombies must be fought as usual
(A temporary life saver if you are about to be surrounded by Zombies)
Mass Hysteria / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
All players roll a 6d, all other players should match the amount of GUTS Tokens than the owner of the highest result (draws are re-rolled). Then draw a new card
(The idea of these Automatic Cards is creating a few group based effects to involve all players into negative or positive events, just for fun tho)
Just a Little Scratch / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
Place this card in front of you then draw a new card. If the Zombie movement 6d roll result is 1 at the end of your turn remove this card from play and place an enhanced Zombie on your current space, otherwise hand this card to the next player.
(Lets imagine that the group is carrying a wounded partner that may turn into a Zombie at any time, pretty much like a time-bomb)
The Boomer / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
Place this card in front of you then draw a new card. While active, all zombies -if possible- must move to your current space during zombie movement, remove this card from play at the end of your next turn.
(Very self-explanatory for zombie fans)
Happy Halloween!!! / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
Place this card in front of you then draw a new card. While active, all players may bypass Combat during their next turn, Tokens may be taken without the need to establish combat against zombies. Discard this card at the beginning of your next turn.
(You are disguised and can bypass combat, on top of that you can enter a building and collect tokens as candy)
Friday 13th... / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
Play this card in front of you then draw a new card. While active, all regular zombies are considered to be enhanced. Discard this card at the end of your next turn.
(This is a brutal automatic card but fun after all, the idea is to create that - we are all screwed and need to help each other - kind of feeling for a brief moment of the game)
Humans... Come out and Play / AUTOMATIC CARD (x1)
Place a Zombie at the empty entrance of every building. Then draw a new card.
(Self Explanatory)

There was just so little information online about this expansion. Nothing on their website, and the 1st 'review' here isn't even of this expansion in particular. Well here is the thing, the game plays just a well as the rest of the main game + expansions. By now you get the idea. But here is what is new to this set; here is the information I desperately wanted before buckling down and just getting it: What they have added: Once again, great event cards, though not as creative as the ones in the 3.5 expansion, but still solid. WHATS NEW: They have added 'Automatic Events' cards whose effect take place as soon as they're drawn. Interesting, and a good direction. ALSO NEW: They added 'Zombie Kids'! 25 to be exact. Their stats are the same as normal Zombies, but a Zombie Kid can accompany a Zombie on the same square. They also have a square in this game that is a 'Pet Cemetery', and the official rules say if you have Zombies 4, use the Zombie Dogs on this square. I like that. This expansion has the biggest variety of zombies on the board when played like this. That's just some of the new stuff, I hope this helped those that wanted to know if it was worth it. Yes. Yes it is. (BTW The artwork on the tiles is some of the best in the series!)

DC Direct Blackest Night: Series 6: Blue Lantern The Flash Action Figure
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This action figure is really amazing. Whether you're a fan of the Green Lantern Blackest Night Series or of the flash this is a definite must. Ok positives and negatives positives: the paint job and detail is amazing its just incredible how amazing they are and how the paint shines on this figure DC really took there time on designing it. the figure is more poseable then most from the series. the arms can move out right from the body the elbows and knees both bend and the legs dont move to the left or right when moved forward or back like the green lantern figures. downside is the figure is still a little stiff so i wouldnt get it for the younger kids like under 8 or 10. Overall it is another part of the series so like all the other more for collecting then playing but if your child takes care of his or her toys and doesnt break many then theyll probably be ok with this one. So either way whatever you buy it for enjoy it its really awesome and i dont really think anyone will be unhappy with it.
