(More customer reviews)I ordered this item excited to relive some childhood memories of the game and was very disappointed.
What I was hoping would be a reproduction of the original was instead an ugly, overpriced mousepad! The print quality on the board is a joke. Very blurry and an ugly blue instead of the nice cream color of the original.. And instead of a thin piece of leather-like material like the original, the board is the same thickness of a mousepad with the thick rubber backing and everything. Ok, No big deal, right? Wrong!
Imagine how disappointed I was when I rolled up the board to discover the board and the stones do not fit into the tube! No wonder they ship it outside the tube in the box! The glass stones are much like the original, but very light in color -- this was about the only good thing going for the set so for that I'll give it 1 star.
I sent this item back immediately upon receipt and would encourage anyone else interested in PENTE to find an original set and not buy this joke of a reproduction.

(More customer reviews)Tripoley...where to start. You begin by dealing the cards evenly to all players, and there are variations which may include you dealing an extra hand. The first game you play is Hearts. If you have either the 10, Jack, Queen, King, or Ace of Hearts, or a mix, then you take all the chips out of those certain dishes; there is a special dish for players who hold both the King and Queen of Hearts, so you would receive the Queen dish, King dish, and the Both K and Q dish. Obviously this will build up in chip value over time with more players as it is harder to get both of these cards in the same hand. Also, during the game of Hearts, if you have an 8, 9, and a 10 all of the same suit in your hand then you receive the chips in that dish. This, as well, will build up over time.
Then you play Poker. You simply take five cards out of however many you have which make up your best Poker hand. If you aren't familiar with Poker, just look at the instructions for what are Poker hands and what are worth more. Start bidding with the dealer and all bets go in the "Pot". The winner, after betting stops, will get all the chips in the Pot.
The last game played is Michigan Rummy, where the dealer lays down his lowest card out of his entire hand. Then the person with the next highest card in the same suit puts down that card, until the Ace of that suit is played or the Stop Card, which is the last highest card played, is played. Whoever put the Stop Card down will then change suits by placing the lowest card in his hand from another suit down. This keeps going until the first person gets rid of all their cards and they claim all the chips in the "Kitty" section.
This game is very, very fun and they also list some variations to the game which make it even more interesting and fun. I gave the fun five stars because I have yet to have a boring game of Tripoley; the fun is endless. Five stars for educational purpose because you get to learn how to play three types of card games, and you learn to be strategic, whether it's betting or choosing the 'right' lowest card in Michigan Rummy (if you have two 3's, then stragety comes into play because you need to examine your hand carefully and see what suit will do better for you). This game is very durable; I've dropped several heavy things on this by accident and it is still in perfect condition.
Overall, this is a wonderful game for anyone.

Toysmith Smart Robot # 3658 Review

(More customer reviews)Although a little over priced it was fun for a while. The curious thing rolls around untill it hits something and then moves away. The picture of it makes you wonder how it moves. What it really makes it move is a small orb inside the outside casing that has a motor inside. This motor spins a small weight that causes it to move around. I bought this and found that the instructions weren't very descriptive so it was a bit tricky but still easy to build. The weird part was that the motor was almost already completely built. The one part that was kind of disappointing was that the casing was hard to but on. Then I realized it looked better without it. It was cool to see a sphere rolling around like it was ALIVE. You may have some problems with it like sudden malfunction but for once this toy actually comes with a trouble shoot that is HELPFUL!!! If you like this and are looking for more or are looking for something that gives you a little more "bang for your buck" then I recommend the "Hex Bug" which although it comes assembled it does a little more....

Transformers Universe Ultra Silverbolt Review

(More customer reviews)While this looks good (from the top down) as a jet, and also looks good as a robot, the design is incredibly lazy. The robot does not change into the jet. Instead, the jet is on the back of the robot and the robot simply retracts arms, legs, and heads while the nose of the jet comes down. The robot is not hidden in alternate mode at all.
On the plus side, an easy one for the younger children. Mine is durable and they should be able to easily handle the transformation themselves.

Universe Ultra: Silverbolt is noteworthy in that he is large enough to bully and intimidate the Gen 1 Superion. Silverbolt transforms into a jet bomber, and appears to be extensively articulated in his robot mode. Silverbolt managed to conquer his fear, and defined himself as a heroic and resourceful commander.
