He has chosen to make wearing a fedora a part of that. I really wasn't sure if he was serious, (ball caps had been his thing, when he wore anything on his head at all!) and this was an inexpensive way to see if it worked for him.
(The Indiana Jones tag is almost unnoticeable, making it look more like an authentic hat and not a prop.)
He's been wearing it day in and day out since Christmas, in all kinds of weather. (15 days!) It has even survived being slept on by his little sister! (Long car trip; he left it on the carseat between them; she's 7 and had slumped over in the dark, asleep; he'd fallen asleep first!)
So I heartily recommend this, whether for a costume prop, or a style option!

My neice is a normal 5 year old girl who loves to ware her new clothes as soon as they are purchased. I live at least 30 minute drive away from her so she had no idea I had purchase this costume for her to ware on halloween night for her Dad my Brother had brought her one already and she had torn it up. Well to her surprise and joy she had a costume that was very sturdy and could put up with her ruff handling. And today it is still in good shape and it is a week and two days later.

Even though it is obviously designed for a child, a large fit me pretty well (I'm about 5 ft 4 in) except the sleeves were a little short. For a costume, the material is very durable and comfortable. Just add some aviator goggles and a broom and you're set. Or your kid is set.

(More customer reviews)I agree with other reviewers that the red on this suit is a burgundy or plum, not a fire engine red like you may expect, but my 7-year-old is still pleased with it and I was pleased with the price, so I still consider it a good value. I didn't have any problems with holes or stitching as others have, and our suit cape did come with a velcro fastener, unlike a previous reviewer's experience so I don't know if they modified the costume based on feedback or not.

Even adults like myself can get their heads in this well-constructed helmet. The sound effects can be a little bracing inside the helmet because they are darned loud, but from kids to adults, this is a very enjoyable toy, even to the adults just want an interesting decorative piece.
