The mini lightsaber fits nicely with my other nic-nacs. People who walk by can't help but pick it up. Although most people complain that it doesn't light up or anything. I am happy I get to show my appreciation for the dark side without taking up too much desk space!

(More customer reviews)Me and my best friend decided to buy these, i really don't remember why i had the idea, but we had the money, and it was a cool idea. anyways, we've both seen all the star wars movies, but, really, we weren't big fans. actually, the closest thing we have to star wars in our everyday lives would be the Jedi Guy, who dresses up like Quigon Jin and rides around on his bike downtown every summer. point is, not star wars fans.
so, we bought them, the Luke model, and the Darth vader,[Star Wars Darth Vader Force FX Red Lightsaber] and had the best midnight sword fight ever. we were thinking of returning them too, untill we pulled them out and tried them. there freakin' amazing, for any kid or adult! I mean, these things have got two 17 year olds fighting with toy light sabers at dusk everyday.
they seem to be fairly durable. they have some scratches from being hit together, sometimes a little harder than what was intended, but they haven't broken thus far. and the scratches are only noticeable at a really close range when there on.
Final verdict, everyone should get these. not a must for any star wars fan, but anyone who likes a good sword fight and making a robot voice and pretending they have a long lost son named luke.

(More customer reviews)Actually, the Star Wars ("Episode IV: A New Hope") saber was a more literal adaptation of a flash handle with its hardware left intact, and a D-ring attached at the emitter for hanging on the costume belt. In later films (Episode VI, perhaps Episode V), the prop was adorned with more customized, futuristic detailing. (As was Lukes, which had the old calculator LED display replaced with some PC expansion board edging.)
The pictured scaled-down replica appears to be the version prepared for Episode Episode III "The Revenge of the Sith."

Anakin is our favorite one because it is very shiny and the details are so well done. It looks just like the larger ones and the one in the movie. It looks very real and is quite heavy.

(More customer reviews)We all grew up with Monopoly, but times have changed and kids like to look for characters the recognize now.
Monopoly Clone Wars provides the same basic game, but with new figures (Clone Commander Rex, Asajj Ventress, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous, and Ahsoka Tano) 28 new properties, also Sith and Ransom spaces instead of community chest and chance. There are some optional Star Wars rules included, but we haven't had a chance to try out yet. Overall it's been a fun game.
If you're looking for a gift for the Star Wars fan or Monopoly collector in your life maybe this is it.

(More customer reviews)This beautiful starfighter jet? spaceship? never fails to elicit comments about its coolness or awesomeness from young visitors to our house. It was the first of my son's lego birthday presents that he assembled. He treasures this toy and takes great pains to make sure it doesn't get destroyed or broken or mixed up in the general lego bin. But even if it were to get mixed in, the bright yellow color should make it easier to find the needed pieces if my son ever wished to rebuild it.
The starfighter is pretty durable too. It has been dropped several times and it is either undamaged or breaks in an easily fixable way - no shattered lego pieces strewn across the floor.
It also comes with R2D2, a couple of people (I think one is Anakin), and a smaller fighter ship, so the set provides enough extras for lots of imaginative play.

LEGO? Jedi Starfighter? with Hyperdrive Booster Ring Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great Lego set. The blue and white color combo works nicely on this set. Also, the Jedi Starfighter is very interactive. The cockpit opens, the wings move, the flaps on the wings move, and the landing gears can come down so you can set it on almost any surface. The starfighter also interacts with the Hyperdrive Booster Ring. There are two pieces on the ship that slide into the ring and keeps it balanced in the middle. The booster ring itself is very detailed. In fact, it took hours to build, since every joint is held together by multiple parts. The ring ends up being very sturdy, and you can put in on a flat surface so it can stand on its own. It is sturdy enough to hold the starfighter as well when sitting on a flat surface. Overall, this is a great model, that was fun to build, and is one of the more interactive sets.
However, the Lego figures are not great. First, Obi-wan does not come with a lightsaber, which seems strange, since he has one in every other set. Secondly, the set comes with Kit Fisto. On the box, the figure looks great, with his grin and shinny green head. However, the actual figure is made of rubber, so it is not shinny at all. And his face does not look right when compared to the character on the box, and of course, in the movie. He does however, come with a green lightsaber.
Overall, this is a Lego set worth buying and building, even if the figures are not the best Lego has ever offered.

LEGO Star Wars Rogue Shadow Review

(More customer reviews)It's from the new Force Unleashed video game that's coming out later this spring. The model doesn't look like much, actually, and the design of the model seems very poorly thought out. It's fairly fragile. Lots of large pieces are held on only by one or two studs and easily fall off just by carrying the thing around.
The "wings", you might call them, move together by a long technic piece through the middle of the ship; there are two gears that make them move with what I assume is supposed to be the engine; they are supposed to point up at one point and forward at the other, but when you point them forward, they actually point down, so I had to add an extra piece to stop it from dropping so far. In addition, the landing gear fall off very easily.
The "battle damaged Darth Vader" that comes with it is...well...stupid. For a battle-damaged helmet, they took a black facemask from the old "aqua raiders" sets and put the neck portion through the viewport in that. They include an intact Vader helmet, but his body is still battle-damaged, so it looks even more stupid.
It does include a spring-loaded missile launcher thingy. But, it's other "weapons systems" don't resemble anything from the Star Wars universe.
This set was hastily created as a tie in for the video game to try and drum up sales. If you're a Star Wars nerd like me, it's worth it I guess. But if you're buying it for a child who will play with it, you're better off finding one that won't fall apart.

yodas cloth body suit and cloak could have been done away with
but over all
as a statue this peice rocks!!!
but the lighted light saber witch is powered by 3 watch batterys
sucks first of all the battery door is hard to get to and the way it is designed to
open incurages breakage
secondly there is no on/off switch so you got to open battery door on yodas back under his cloath body suit and
pull out the batterys each time you want to shut the thing off to save the batterys
thirdly each time you deal with the batterys you fray the cloth body suit
so after awhile you get alot of little strings in the way
until eventually the cloath suit will unravel
you can tell that this piece was rushed in order to get out on time
because of the lack of quality that went into powering the light saber
my suggestion is get it and enjoy it as a non-illuminated statue
and you won't go wrong

Star Wars The Clone Wars Padme Amidala CW35 - 3-3/4 Inch Scale Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I love the outfit and physique sculpt on this latest Padme Amidala figure from the Clone Wars computer animated series. I so wish we'd gotten a Padme action figure from the 2D Clone Wars show. This Padme is double articulated at the knees, elbows, and shoulders, a big improvement over the previous Clone Wars Padme, and she also turns at the waist and arms. Plus, of course, she is jointed at the hips and head. Though it stays permanently on her, her belt can ride up easily and is a bit high as it is for keeping the gun in the holster, but it still looks good and fits in well, and she also looks great holding her blaster, one of two accessories. The other accessory is a spring launched grappling hook. As one expects from any Padme figure, this toy is a hottie, but I must say that I like the face used for the previous Padme figure better. It may be way more cartoony, with its big eyes and all, but this one looks more like Jennifer Lopez than Natalie Portman. It's more realistic looking, but just not cute enough, and they need something more in between the two. I'm afraid I have to dock this figure one star for that issue, as I find it less recognizable as Padme (it's mainly the eyes I think), though otherwise it's an excellent addition to your Star Wars collection and a must if you're a Padme lover. She wears her new outfit well. I just wish this Clone Wars line came with build-a-droid parts. At today's Star Wars figure prices, they all should come with that delightful bonus.

What is so cool about it is that Vader's helmet comes off in two pieces, exactly like the unmasking scene in Return of the Jedi. What's better is his real face is detailed like the movie also. The only problem that I have is that his right hand doesn't hold his lightsaber well, if at all. I used some thin wire to wrap it around to fix that but I still think it was worth the buy. I like the cloth fabric they use for his cape better than just plastic also. So I think that any Star Wars fan should have this one in their collection, definately.

(More customer reviews)We purchased several Clone Wars vehicles and action figures for our 2 boys aged 6 and 8 1/2. Obi-Wan's Starfighter and the Torrent Starfighter are the sturdiest. The only issue we have really had with Obi-Wan's is the cockpit hatch popping off every time my 6 yr old tries to put a guy inside. This can be frustrating for a parent constantly being interrupted to reattach it. And in the near future the thing is just going to be so worn from the constant on and off again that it is just not gonna go back on. The spring-open wings are made of thin plastic and the button you push to open them requires quite a bit of applied force. This line of Clone Wars toys is marketed for children aged 4 yrs and up. I have to totally disagree with that!! I was really looking forward to some sturdy toys for my boys and this stuff did NOT deliver!! The Walker is CRAP and the V-Wing is definitely inappropriate for a 4 yr old (my 6 yr old is too rough for it). And just so you know the action figures are ALL flimsy. Their hands come off and are lost and they are weak, flimsy plastic... not durable.

Obi-Wans starfighter is destroyed when he and Anakin rescue Chancellor Palpatine from the Separatists. So when he is sent to Utapau to confront General Grievous, the leader of the Separatist droid army, Obi-Wan requisitions a new fighter for the mission. Pus it's nice to see more female Jedi in the movie and in the toys
