(More customer reviews)The DC Direct Ame Comi series makes a wonderful addition to the collections of aficionados of action figures/PVC statues. Female characters are often the most sought after by collectors, so the idea of creating a series which reinvents the female characters of the DC Comics universe in the style of Japanese anime is brilliant.
With the more obscure characters like Zatanna, the artists behind the Ame Comi series perhaps have a little more creative freedom, since the characters' looks tend to be less iconic (than, for example, Wonder Woman). The Ame Comi Zatanna has been adorably reinvented with punky blue hair and a more ornate and sexy take on Zatanna's normal black "magician's assistant" outfit. Based on the pricing, the Zatanna figure is not one of the more popular of the Ame Comi series, but it's one of my favorites.
(One note to sellers: Please remember that collectors often want their collectable to remain in the box in mint condition, and bending/creasing the top of the box to fit it into a smaller shipping container ruins that.)
