(More customer reviews)I was looking for an attractive decorator set of checkers and settled on the 3 in 1 combo to get the chess and chinese checkers with it. The board and pieces are beautiful, if not a little smaller than I imagined. The pieces all stow nicely away in two side drawers, and the board looks lovely on my coffee table. I'd highly recommend it at this great price.

(More customer reviews)Chinese checkers is a great game for teaching strategic thinking. I ordered this one for our family thinking that solid wood would be a pleasant tactile experience. I don't really like plastic. Imagine my disappointment when I find, yes, a solid wood playing board, but a jumble of cheap little plastic checkers. Brightly colored, yes. Wood, no. Ick. I had a version that used marbles when I was a kid and I may try to find some marbles to use with this board. As for durability, the board will last forever, but the pieces didn't come with a bag (bring your own Ziploc) and the box is very cheap and will fall apart after a few uses, making it necessary to figure out a way to keep the pieces with the board. I thought we were getting a good value when I read the description, but I recommend looking a little further for a higher quality product.

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a birthday gift for a former woodworker when she turned 89. She loves playing this game partly because this particular version is so aesthetically pleasing. I agree. Both the wooden board and the glass marbles are very nice to touch as well as to look at. This makes the game especially nice for adults.
I believe that children, too, would like it because of the marbles.
