(More customer reviews)I bought this for my wife for Christmas and we have played over 50 games of it since then. An average game lasts about 15 minutes and game play is quick and intuitive. Dragonheart is won by the player who accumulates the most points. Points are gained by capturing sets of cards off of the game boards through various conditions. Each card you play potentially triggers a response that can cost or gain you points based on what your opponent plays. The games ends when the third of three sets of Ships are played on the board. This relatively open ended closure is one of the strategic elements we enjoy the most. In tight games, we will quite often play through a whole deck. In games with a clear point leader, strategy shifts as the leader attempts to close the game out and the other player attempts to prolong it.
This is a great couples game, and has become one of the ways my wife and I decompress from a days worth of autistic children and busy work schedules.
