(More customer reviews)We played this game for the first time this weekend at a convention. The game plays fast even while learning the rules. The game is fairly straight forward and simple. However there is plenty of room for strategy. The game is not particularly confrontational. The most that you can really do to other players is stop them from completing their hidden objectives with tile placement. Setup is FAST .. even just learning the game setup is a breeze. There are not excessive amounts of tiny tiles to place or sort. There are 2 decks of cards for each player. One deck is tile type and the other is continent/placement strategy. There is another deck of hidden objectives. Each player gets one hidden objective. The tile sets are for multiple spaces .. like L-shaped or zigzag etc. The tiles are placed over connecting hexes on the map. Spatial awareness is important when looking at how to put your tiles down. Turn order is decided by first the map area and second by placement type. There are 4 placement types. Empty/city only, city+harbor/ring, harbor only, and King. Over all the game is really enjoyable and actually plays in the time listed. LOL I am sure you have all gotten a game that says 60 min for play and wound up still playing said game 3 hours later with no end in sight.
