(More customer reviews)Zooloretto is a game of zoo management for 2 to 5 players. Each player manages their own zoo, which includes several animal enclosures and spots for food vendors. During each round, players fill up delivery trucks, choose a truck to fill their zoo, and allocate the animals to the various enclosures.
The game components are made of wood and sturdy cardboard and can withstand many games with young players. The game plays slightly different with 2 players, although it's still enjoyable. All of the scoring takes place at the very end, and a lot happens in the last couple of rounds, so it's anyone's game up until the end.
Zooloretto is a little light on strategy compared to other European board games, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Given the theme and the balance of luck and strategy, the game is very appealing to casual gamers and families. The game length is just right for this audience as well - about 45 minutes.
