(More customer reviews)This is my first review, so bare with me. This is actually my fourth Play Arts figure (Squall Leonhart, Cloud Strife and Vincent Valentine prior). It truly is an amazing figure, like the description says, there are definitely 30 points of articulation (far more "flexible" than the other figures I have).
So, to start out I'll detail exactly what it comes with. In the box you will find Edward Elric with his red coat on, and his black undershirt and vest underneath. He also comes with three extra arms (for a total of five arms all together). Two of the arms go with the red coat with white gloved hands (open), then there are two black arms that go with the undershirt/vest combo and have fists attached, the final arm is the auto-mail arm and has an auto-mail fist, but it has an interchangeable piece to the auto-mail arm to add the blade (all the hands are interchangeable, mix and match as you see fit).
Just so there is no confusion with the original Play Arts figure of Ed, this one does NOT come with a spear as the other one did. I had thought that this one might come with it as well, but it doesn't.
There is also an extra head that comes with Ed, he has a standard more mono-tone looking face originally with the other one having a slightly menacing smile.
The figure bends quite well and due to all the points you will most likely be able to get the pose you are looking for.
He seems to be able to stand quite well on his own without the stand (I tend to not use the stands since they often take up too much room and I have a very limited space in which to display my figures) which is always a good thing.
I must say, the coloring and level of detail that went into this figure is incredible, the red coat is made of a flexible plastic as well as the vest. (and yes there is a small pocket-watch unfortunately its attached to the body and made of the same plastic as the rest of the body...that means there is not movement whatsoever of it).
If you are a fan of FullMetal Alchemist this is a no brainer. I guarantee you will be pleased.
