(More customer reviews)Scamper is one of my most durable, most realistic, most fun and easy-to-display models. Gentler kids can actually play with Scamper without banging him up too much. Scamper is well painted and he can even stand alone. He comes with a beautiful box explaining his accomplishments so he can be displayed in or out of box. This Breyer is well worth your money! You get a background, story, catolog, barrel, and the horse for a good price.

Scamper and owner/rider Charmayne James won the World Barrel Racing Championships an unprecedented 10 times and were the National Finals Rodeo Champions six times. Scamper, born Gills Bey Boy in 1977, was the AQHA Horse of the Year five times and is a winner of the AQHA Silver Spur Award. In 1996, Scamper became the first barrel horse to be inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Set includes a realistic action model of Scamper and colorful race barrel.

(More customer reviews)Using the ever-popular "San Domingo" mold, Breyer offers this gorgeous paint. With the wonderful hand painted details, this lovely boy is sure to dress up any collector's shelf.
Sculpted in 1978 by Chris Hess, this mold has been popular with Breyer collectors for 25 years. With his flashy new paint job, he's sure to make an appearance at many collector shows. His calm walking pose makes him a good choice for beginning showers interested in performance classes.
Recommended for ages 8 and up, he's sure to find his way to Barbie's pasture, as well as the show ring. It is important to remember, however, that because he is hand painted he is likely to suffer a few "rubs" and scratches in the hands of smaller collectors. While his legs are a bit thicker than the smaller sized models, they will snap with enough pressure.
For a great gift idea, wrap him up with a book from the Thoroughbred or Saddle Club series.

Breyer Rambo Blanket Review

(More customer reviews)The description I read on Amazon regarding this particular item was that it was purple. The picture does not depict that at all but when I ordered, I kept in mind that it was indeed a purple blanket and not greenish. I was, in fact, disappointed that it was purportedly purple so I was very happy to see for myself that it is indeed not purple but greenish as it looks in the picture. :) It looks EXACTLY as it does in the picture. I don't know how well it holds up or ease of use or anything yet as it is a gift for Christmas. So if I hear how it performs I will update my review. Very pleased with this item so far, though.

(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful breyer horse set. I grew up in the same town were these horses live and have acctually met them quite a few times. The model looks a lot like the real horses. Their story is extremely unique. Its amazing how a person could care enough to buy a very sick mare with a perfect heart shape on her forehead and bring her back to health, then the mare to give birth to a healthy colt with an arrow shaped marking on his hindquarters. Its a miracle! I reccomend all horse lovers to buy this set. The models are very durable and can go through a lot of wear.

Fox Valley Oliver, an 18 h. Shire, excels in halter and driving competitions as well as in the sport of combined driving. In addition to earning several reserve championships in the U.S. and Canada, he was named Senior Champion Stallion at the Ohio State Fair in 2003. His many champion offspring include the Best American-bred Stallion at the Ohio State Fair in 2002 and 2003 and the Senior Champion Stallion at the Mcleod County Fair in 2004. A champion ambassador for the breed, Fox Valley Oliver, an 18-hand Shire owned by Kathy Whitaker of Flying Feathers Farm in New Providence, PA, excels in halter and driving competitions as well as in the sport of combined driving. From 2000 to 2003, he earned several reserve championships in the U.S. and Canada and was named Senior Champion Stallion at the Ohio State Fair in 2003. (More customer reviews)Wow... Ideal is sooooo beautiful! This has got to be one of the best molds Breyer has came out with. He has phenominal dappling and shading. Breyer did an outstanding job on this horse! I don't play with my models so I can't say he's durable. I do think if you put too much presure on his leg that holds him up, it could break. He is not made for play anyway though. He is mainly for collectors who show their models or keep them on shelves like I do. But I have to say, he is one fantastic Breyer horse!!! I would so recomend him to everyone except little kids. Well, I'm 12, so I mean I wouldn't let kids under 7 and a half have him because his is delicate, you know. But this model very much captures the beauty of Ideal and Oldenburg horses!
