Mark Martin is quite a popular name in the NASCAR racing scene. Since his debut in 1981, Martin has been accumulating numerous wins. His first win came in 1989 and he had a career best season with seven wins in 1998. In 2005, Martin decided to call it quits, thus the season was called his "Salute to You" tour, as a "thank you" to his fans - but his long time former team owner Jack Roush convinced him to drive again in 2006. In 2007, he drove the #01 U.S. Army Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS and Impala SS COT for Ginn Racing, and was also a part-time driver in the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series for Roush Fenway Racing, Hendrick Motorsports and Wood Brothers/JTG Racing.
