(More customer reviews)I wasn't sure what to think of this when my 9 year old daughter picked this out for a birthday present. After setting it up, reading the simple directions, and playing a few games of it, I'm pleasantly surprised and I'm hooked on it! The object is to move your "mirrors" one at a time to cause your laser cannon to reflect of your mirrors and onto your opponents "tower." The first one to hit the opponents tower with their laser is the winner -- as evidenced by the flashing lights and explosion sound. The kids REALLY get a big kick out of this.
Although the rules say you can only make one move or adjustment to your mirrors at a time and only test fire your laser once after each move, my kids are flexible on the rule. They will make several adjustments per move which makes the game faster and keeps them from getting frustrated. My 9 and 10 year old play this with each other but it is a little too difficult for my 5 and 7 year olds.
Be careful of the lasers though, they are real low-level lasers and should never be pointed at anyone's eyes. So if your kids aren't responsible enough to handle that, I'd stay away. Otherwise, give it a try and I think you'll like it too!
