(More customer reviews)My 10 year old son loves to do building projects. He has moved on a bit from Lego and is wanting to try different projects.
He did this with his uncle. It took them about 7 hours total. I don't think he could have done it on his own. The directions were not great, but not so difficult that they became frustrated. They were very happy working together on this project. My son is thrilled by the result.
The boat is quite sturdy. They used some glue in places, particularly on the knots for the sails.
My son now wants to buy more from this company.
I recommend it. It is great summertime project if a grown-up has time to help.

This is a Woodcraft Construction Kit of a Pirate Ship. There are 139 interlocking 3mm wooden plywood pieces and when assembled measure 15.7" L x 4.7" W x 13.9" H. These Woodcraft Construction Kits are 3D wooden puzzle marvels for kids of all ages. Not only are they fun to put together, but they are also educational and bring out the creativity of those working on them. The units are made of 3mm plywood and the pieces are individually slotted to interlock with one another to form a 3D model. Everything is pre-cut and assembled by pushing the pieces together.
