(More customer reviews)I own close to a dozen different Batman B&W statues, and I have to say this one is a very fair representation of the artist's work on paper. The only downside I see to this statue is that it is probably one of the most fragile of the series. The entire statue is supported by the metal rod from his foot to the base. The fins on his gloves are straight out there and ripe for getting caught on something and snapped off. The cap is also thinner than others in the series. Still, none of these things should keep you from owning this statue if you are a fan of McGuinness's work. This is one of the best "action shot" statues of the series!

The Dark Knight leaps into action! This rendering of Batman is based on art from the popular SUPERMAN/BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES story arc, in which artist Ed McGuinness made his start drawing Bruce Wayne's alter ego. The statue measures approximately 7.5" high x 5" wide x 4.5" deep, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box.
