You know the kind, the stuff that makes you cringe just a little bit and wonder exactly how living in this boxy suburban neighborhood warps your mind after a few years.
Hence, SKELEMINGOS! My family is a little, how shall I say. . . darksider-ish. Dark sense of humor, dark clothes, that sort of thing. So when I saw these online I KNEW I had to have them.
we named them Rosencrantz and Guildenstern and they live right smack dab in the front of our yard so everyone driving by can see them. It's our little social commentary and boy, do they ever get attention. I think maybe the neighbors are a little scared of us, really. Although one dog-walker thought they were so awesome she wanted some, so I direct her here and she purchased a set and snuck them in her mother's yard which has over two dozen pink flamingoes. Apparently her mom freaked a little. Chaos and mayhem. My work here is done.
For Christmas I decorated them with gold garland. They were quite a picture as the snow fell gently around them.
As far as physical construct goes, they seem to be very very durable. Thick plastic, thick white paint that doesn't scratch off easily, and the thick wire legs definitely stay anchored if you push them into the ground far enough.
They shipped very quickly and were appropriately packaged.
So yeah. Can't go wrong with these guys.
