J.P. Patches was the host of one of the longest running local children's shows in television history. "The J.P Patches Show" aired on KIRO-TV in Seattle from 1958 to 1981 and broadcast over 10,000 episodes in its 23 year run. Just about every kid who grew up in the Northwest during that time tuned in as Julius Pierpont Patches, Mayor of the City Dump, entertained them with cartoons, sketches and special guests. But you don't have to be an original Patches Pal to appreciate this legend of local television and the success of his endlessly entertaining show paved the way for many others, perhaps even the one you watched as a kid. Although very little video tape of the show still exists, you can relive the magic with this 5-1/4inch (13.3 cm) tall, hard vinyl J.P. Patches action figure. Comes with Tikey Turkey, J.P.'s pet rubber chicken and a miniature cream pie!
