(More customer reviews)My son got this XPV for a gift last year. We have a large 7 acre field behind our house to fly it in. I was skeptical because over the previous year we had purchased several remote control airplanes and helicopters and they had never lasted more then a few days.
The XPV was purchased for an 8 year old at full retail price. My husband and I made sure that we were always present when the XPV was taken out. We are impressed with the tricks that could be done, the flying time, and at first it seemed more duriable then past remote control purchases.
After a few weks we let our son use it on his own more, with us watching. After 1 month the XPV took a nose dive and was no longer usable.
It was a great toy while it lasted. I don't know how much more careful we could have been.
I ceratinly would not recomend buying this for a young child. Maybe a middle school age child that is really careful and make sure you have al arge open space to fly it in, no trees!
