The whole family can work together, each controlling a different vehicle or machine (up to 8 at once), to accomplish whatever goals you decide upon -- usually, moving the red and blue "roks" (balls) around. Various starter sets are available, but this is the one we have, and it's a good choice. You get everything you need to set up a small layout, including a front-loader and an automatic ball elevator. All the parts and machines are very well engineered and solid. They're fun and easy to control. As your set grows (and especially as you get more than one controller and vehicle), it's great for multiple kids to play together -- it's non-violent, cooperative, and creative. I highly recommend the Rokenbok line, and this particular set is a great start (and your second set should probably be the Rokenbok RC Monorail).

(More customer reviews)This toy is basically a building set made of interlocking plastic parts that form tracks that remote controlled vehicles run on. It is very well made and the company stands 100% behind their product (a part was missing and they immediately replaced it.)It's most creative use would be for older children (8-10) to make their own track designs.

The Power Chutes Start Set includes everything you need to build your own exciting Rokenbok world. The powerful radio-controlled Skip Track vehicle works just like a real "front loader," and is completely under your control with the Control Pad and Radio Control Center.
With more than 125 pieces, build the Power Chutes factory and then scoop up a load of Rokenbok ROK balls using the Skip Track's powerful track drive and high-lift bucket. Drive up onto the sturdy platform and send your load of ROKs flying down the chute systems. When the job is done, rocket down the Super Slide for another load.
Playset requires one 9-volt and 3 "AA" batteries, not included. Measures 12.5" x 28" x 21.5".

(More customer reviews)After pining after this toy for years (it was on display at a local toy store), my son saved up his money and bought two of these truck sets. He played with it for a while, but unless you have a big space to leave these things set up, it's probably more fun and practical in the toy store than it is in your home. That said, the building sets work well and the trucks actually do run on the tracks and pick up the little balls, which is pretty cool. It's also a little bit hard to snap the pieces together (it takes some hand strength), so not great for little ones.

RC Power Sweeper Review

(More customer reviews)You've got rokenbok balls all over the living room, the kids are asleep. It's time to unleash the sweeper! This thing has a spinning foam gobbler up front that just sucks up the balls and delivers them to the dumptruck style bin in the back. Then (This is the cool part) the sweeper elevates and you can "spit" the balls into hoppers or other vehicles. Plus, if you are into rokenbok vehicle against vehicle wresling, it's a major heavyweight contender. It's a fun toy.
