A lot of the kids in the neighborhood have scooters. I think this one is great. It's SOOOO much quieter than the other models the neighborhood kids have and it's a smooth ride.
Set up was easy, my 12 year old did it almost by himself. Took him a bit of time, with allen wrenches and a screwdrive, but he did it with very little help. The charging is really fast and easy.
I'd recommend this one to anyone who is in the market for an electric scooter.
The seat portion is easily removable with a screwdriver if you need to remove the seat portion for any reason.

Sweeney Todd Shaving Kit Review

(More customer reviews)First of all, for this one part, I agree with the other reviewer, this category is generally thought of as toys for YOUNG children. THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR CHILDREN.
This is a real straight edge razor shaving kit. DO NOT BUY for anyone too young to shave. If, however, you are looking for a nice starter set to get for a young adult who wants to learn or to encourage them to try straight edge shaving, this is a more than adequate set with the added benefit of the Sweeney Todd movie basis. Is is functional and has decent quality. (You need to hone the blade yourself, or have it professionally honed before shaving with it.) But even if you are getting this as a display piece it is still sharp out of the box, so be careful. AND KEEP OUT OF REACH OF SMALL CHILDREN.
Fun - I give it a 4 because my husband LOVES Sweeney Todd and has wanted to try straight edge shaving for a while. (Note: I bought this for my Husband, not a child.) He really liked this set and had fun learning all the techniques for this type of shaving.
Educational Value - 3 because this is really just the kit and you have to look up ALL the information on using it on your own.
Durable - 5 Surgical Steel blade, the hinge was a little stiff but some work got the kinks out. And a ceramic mug.
One part I want to say is that looking up Sweeney Todd "toys" for their small child might be a little on the questionable side to begin with, so I don't really think this needs to be "re-categorized".

(More customer reviews)This is a great bike. My 11 year old son loves this bike and rides it almost everyday. The bike has a tremendous amount of power. I weigh 190# and it carried me well on an initial test drive. My 11 year old son who has been riding electric bikes for several years does terrific on this bike. He weighs 65 pounds and is 55" tall. The bike seems to be perfect for him based on his size and experience riding. The bike is interesting in that it is extremely powerful but size wise is designed for kids 9-12 years old. The box says 16 and up, which is ridiculous. The bike seems well designed and has a nice suspension system and dual disk breaks. The price is unbelievable for what you get but I would only recommend it for kids 9- 12 who have experience riding other powered bikes. The tires are pneumatic however they are very hard and knobby. They are fine for off road use but a slip out fast on slick pavement. Over all a great bike for experienced 9-12 year olds who have a non paved surface to ride on. We didn't experience any problems mechanically or electrically.

Razor E300 Electric Scooter Review

(More customer reviews)Like some reviews, my 8-year-old son's first E300 only ran about ten minutes per charge and 13mph max speed (yes, I have a radar gun). Troubleshooting sent us toward a dragging brake, but the brake adjustment was fine. The chain, however, was super tight (I'm an old motorcycle racer, so I know a lot about chain tension). I loosened the chain tension, but no improvement, and returned the entire unit. (I suspect either a bad battery or the overly tight chain tension damaged the motor armature.) When the next E300 showed up, I checked the chain immediately out of the box. Again, super tight. I loosened the chain (extra loose for the first run, maybe 3/4" play) and completed the rest of the setup. The unit performed flawlessly. Speed was consistently 17mph and still running strong after 35 minutes (we've only done two test runs so far). Slightly tightened chain tension to about 1/2" after first run. Also, as noted by another reader, we looked everywhere for the rear tire inflater extension, only to find it inside the right handlebar grip cap. Good luck figuring that out when it isn't in the directions. The E300 is sturdily built - a lot more than I would expect for the money. I weigh 210 lbs and the structure doesn't flinch when I climb aboard (although the motor is clearly not intended for any hills or probably heavy riders). My son is about 60 lbs and we live in Florida (no hills), so this thing will hopefully last a long time. If you live where there are hills or you weigh more than 150 lbs, I recommend you look for another scooter. Happy riding.Razor E300 Electric Scooter
Update: 10-01-2007 I took the E300 out for a test run myself after dropping my son off at school (I want to test the unit thoroughly inside the 30-day return policy). I cruised the entire neighborhood, local park and all around. It is a very blustery day (threatening rain and lots of wind), so I encountered lots of headwinds. Through the ride I was up and down small hills too. I did this entire drive without any stopping, and the E300 finally gave out at 25 minutes on the button (the motor was moderately hot to the touch). Because of my weight (210 lbs), I can tell the motor is small and not designed for any hills or adults, so I was very impressed by this performance, especially considering the occasional stiff headwinds that I could tell strained the motor (you have no choice but to stand straight up like a sail forcing against the motor). My 8-year-old son is about 65 lbs and has never seen the "low power" light yet during his two 35 minute runs. I still think we have winner!

Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro Electric Scooter Review

(More customer reviews)When my 11-year old started begging for an electric scooter, we were very hesitant. A neighbor has one and it's the stand-up kind with a VERY loud motor that drives us nuts on the weekends. We gave in, and went shopping. While we were reviewing the standing scooter, we noticed the Razor Pocket Mod and it was the SAME PRICE! I, of course, thought it was adorable and my daughter was easily swayed.
It was easy to put together and charge, however pumping the tires was a wee bit difficult just because of the angle required. The tires are nice and fat/sturdy, too, so riding offroad or over small rocks wasn't an issue. The biggest thing we noticed though, was that it is AMAZINGLY QUIET! What a blessing compared to the neighbor's noisy scooter! It practically 'purrs' and you don't even hear it until you are right next to it.
Seeing her ride it is incredible! It is VERY easy for any child that can balance and ride a bike. The handle brakes/gas takes a bit of getting used to, but after a few days she was a pro! Her papa rides a motorcycle, so he was dying to check it out. Weighing in about 180lbs, he was able to ride it as well! My daughter got a big kick out of that.
The battery lasts quite a while! An hour may not sound like a lot of time, but if it's not continuous (kids stop/start chat/ride/play) it can last hours. It charges quickly and easily, and it's small and fits well in the side of the garage. Though she's 11, we were told by the salesman that younger kids who are responsible can definitely ride it.
It IS fast, though, which was a bit unnerving at first. It doesn't sound like 15 MPH is that fast (I think that's what it is), but when you see your child going down a hill that fast - it seems quite scary! It doesn't turn quite as sharply as a bike or standing scooter can, so they have to learn it's limitations. Definitely get a helmet and kneepads!
This is the BEST ITEM we have purchased for her in YEARS! Highly recommended!

Read that review, the title is "TRUST ME READ THIS". I said to myself you know what im going buy the Razor MX500 Dirt Bike. WOW WHAT A GREAT BUY!!!!!! This thing is durable, safe, and fun. I recommend it for ages 8-15 years old. However there are reviews for other razor products about the battery life. Yes the battery life is not good, IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I followed the directions and my MX500's battery is fantastic. To have a good motor and battery follow these easy steps...
1. Take MX500 out of box CAREFULLY!
2. Assemble in order of the directions (If you follow them it will be assembled in 20 minutes).
3. Turn MX500 on and JUST FOR ONE SECOND TWIST THE THROTTLE just to make sure it works. (Do not ride just a flick of the throttle just to check).
4. Charge the MX500 overnight or for 12 or more hours (The key is to charge it for 12+ hours)
5. Take the charger out and go ride
If you follow these directions given your MX500 will be perfect.

I got it for my 8 year old son to play around with on the sidewalks but discovered that it is fun for me too! My son's friend got the next level down in scooters, the E100 I think, and his is much slower. Plus he does not have the option of the seat. With the E200S, you can decide to use the seat or go without it, and my son chose to use it. He loves his scooter, and it was definitely a good buy.

Razor RipStik Ripster Review

(More customer reviews)While trying to decide between the original Ripstick and the Wave for my 12 yr. old son, I found the "newer" Ripster. I read reviews of how these were lighter weight and you could do tricks more easily. Of course, that caught my attention and I'm glad I purchased this one. This has been one of his favorite and most used Christmas gifts. He was able to take off after the first few tries and was really good after a day or two. His older brother, 17, also picked it up quickly and uses it frequently. I recently heard a friend comment on how much lighter this was than the original Ripstick. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase (although I see they are now cheaper than when I bought) and would highly recommend this.

Razor Sole Skate Review

(More customer reviews)I had been saving some money to get a ripstik, but I decided to get my sole skate the day after I had even heard of it. I took my local bus down to a store where they sell it, and then walked home in the pouring rain. I wanted it THAT badly. I was so excited to ride it right away, but then I realized that I could learn how to ride this little sole skate in the rain; it would be too hard. So I practiced a bit inside my house in my tile hallways. I became a bit disheartened by the lack of progress I was making, and wasn't thinking to highly of my new toy. But this Easter weekend, I decided to take a better shot at learning to ride the thing, and it was pretty much just awesome!
I too live in a place on my street where either direction I take off, I head straight down hill. After an hour of practice or less, I was able to fly down the hills comfortably. Compared to a skateboard, this thing is pretty stable. It is a bit shaky, but not so much that you freak out about how you are probably going to die. It goes pretty fast, but I might put in some ABEC 7's like the other reviewer did. I would be a bit nervous going down my hill though, because it did gain some serious speed.
The turning is ok; it takes a long time to master it especially with the direction you would go putting weight on outside of your feet; turning into the arch is easier (the direction is different for all depending on which foot you put on the sole skate). Sharp turning is pretty much impossible for me right now, though I am getting better.
My favorite thing about this board is its physical qualities. You can just throw it down onto the street and fly; it doesn't break! The compact size is amazing too. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but nothing like the ripstik or a skateboard. You probably would hardly feel it in a backpack. I can't wait until summer when I can strap this to my bike or carry it in a backpack and bring it pretty much everywhere; the beach, the city, etc. But seriously, get this thing!! It's awesome!!!

After about a month, I still love my sole skate, but I feel like I have to tell you some things I have found out about it. It's difficult to use on even slightly rough pavement but not impossible. It gets really loud and shakes, making your foot feel tingly after you get off of it. But it doesn't hurt, so I at least don't find it too bad. But I've also realized how awesome it really is. The weather's been nice, so I've been going around on it and it can take you far! Still 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my 8 year old. This has been a joy of his for quite a few months. It runs well, peppy and the battery seems to hold up for a very long riding period. He has had times in excess of 1 hr. riding around the house and driveway.
The only thing which is minor that annoys me is that when you corner very sharply the chain protector drags the pavement. No damage is done but it seems this part of the scooter should be higher off the ground.
Overly recommended for children of appropriate ages. Get your child one, they and you will not regret it.

(More customer reviews)I enjoyed fast service and mint condition of product when it arrived. Product itself was not as described. Sparks were not as awesome as I thought they should be and the cartridges were used up faster than I expected. Also you can get a 2pk at Target for $10 and online the price is $20 plus shipping.
I like the scooter itself, the wheels seem more efficient with smoother ride than other scooters I have tried, but I don't think the "Sparks" aspect was really worth the $20 more I paid for it.

Adding a bit of spark to the original kick scooter, the Razor Spark has modified its A2 scooter with a foot controlled, detachable Spark Bar to light up your ride. The Spark Scooter's spark cartridge creates 20 percent more sparks than other brands on the market thanks to its 5 flint pads. A bonus spark cartridge is included.
The Razor Spark is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Its T-tube and deck, meanwhile, fold up into a compact footprint, so riders can fit the scooter inside a bag or carry it at their side when riding isn't appropriate (it weighs 7 pounds). And thanks to the 98mm inline-style urethane wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and patented rear fender brake, riders will always feel smooth and in control when kicking along the sidewalk.

Razor Ground Force Electric Go-Kart Review

(More customer reviews)I had a Power Wheels toy for my girls when they were 2 and 4. Now that my son was turning 4, I didn't want him driving around in a pink Barbie Jeep.
I went and bought the Ground Force but it is significantly faster - the Power Wheels tops out at 5mph (but also allows you to lock the speed to a max of 2.5mph), whereas the Ground Force has a max speed of 12mph.
I must say though, that I (a 40 year old man who weighs 165 pounds) LOVE this thing...It was fast, nimble and my neighbors got used to seeing me drive around the neighborhood. But, ahem, where was I? Oh yes, back to the kids.
My 6 and 9 year old daughters love this car since it is significantly faster than their old Power Wheel car. I was even able to take my 6 year old out with it when I went roller blading and she was able to keep up with me and then some (we went out for about an hour (so figure we went about 8-10 miles since we weren't going the full hour.
That being said, it is way too fast for my 4 year old...and even my 6 year old who knows how to drive was doing a series of figure 8's in the street at max speed and loving it...when she lost control and ran full speed into the curb...she was NOT a happy camper, although she wasn't seriously hurt.
The car does sit low though...so if a child were to run under an SUV...there is a very real chance the child could be seriously hurt though because their face would smack into the bumper...so PLEASE be mindful.
I allowed our friend's daughter who was 5 to drive the car in an very open field and she loved it...but ended up losing control as well and running into a play structure. She hurt hurt herself and broke the seatbelt because she panicked and went full speed into the structure...she wasn't seriously hurt...but I have definitely re-thought my stance about letting ANY child under 8 or 9 drive the cart by themselves.
Because there is no way to lock out the max speed...the children should be very carefully supervised. I do drive my 4 year old in my lap (and even drove him to pre-school one day in the morning (which he loved btw). Of course, I did look a bit stupid driving home in this go kart in the morning near the school...but my son was VERY excited! ;)
Please please be careful with this car with young children.

Razor Ground Force Drifter Kart Review

(More customer reviews)I just got this for my kids, who are 5, 7, and 14. They love it! The 180 degree turns are fun, but it can also be controlled at slower speeds. My 5 year old isn't ready to go all out yet, and he uses the throttle lightly for a slower ride. It seems very safe as long as it's used away from traffic and obstacles. Definitely for paved areas, not grass.
Charge time is 12 hours, so it can only be used once a day in general. It was 40 degrees F today (about 4 degrees C) and we had it out for an hour. With downtime for changing riders, I'm guessing it lasted for about 40 minutes of ride time. Maybe it'll last longer in warmer weather.
It went noticeably slower with the 140 lb. 14 year old riding, but was still fun for him. Razor tends to give age recommendations that seem high. This is probably good for ages 5 - 12. Teens will want something more powerful.

Kent Super Scooter Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered one Kent Super Scooter with the Schwinn Scooter as a pair. The Kent was a few buck cheaper than the Schwinn and much Nicer. Wheels are bigger, back and front brakes and handel bar adjustmet for small and somewhat larger kids. The Schwinn is too small for my 8 year old and cannot be adjusted. The Kent is still a little too short for my 11 year old, but a MUCH Better Buy than the more expensive smaller Schwinn. Now I'm just looking for a scooter built like the Kent with taller handel bars for bigger kids. Wish I could ship the Schwinn Back and get a second Kent for my 5 year old.
