(More customer reviews)I bought two of these for my 8 and 13 year old boys for Christmas. They have been driving them around like crazy. These are very durable except for the body which sticks out past the bumper. The 8 year old crashed his at full speed into the mail box post and cracked the body but it is only cosmetic damage, it still runs and handles great. The top speed is plenty fast enough for the beginner and is a huge jump up from your typical Target or Walmart type RC car. The suspension is great too. It turns sharp and handles bug jumps. If you buy this go ahead and get a charger and spare battery. The charger that comes with it takes 6 hours to recharge the battery and it runs for 10 to 15 minutes. Pros:
Very Durable Chassis
Fast and fun to drive
Good Suspension
Cons:
The Battery charger takes 6 hours to recharge the battery
Can drive out of radio range pretty fast.
Body sticks out past the bumper (I found aftermarket bumpers at t-bone-racing.net for $10 to protect the body)
Overall I'm very pleased with the cars, and my boys are having a blast.

(More customer reviews)I've purchased this one to race with my kid (that was a primary reason to purchase a 27MHz unit - to avoid an interference with the other which is 49MHz). This truck is rather fast and maneuverable. The operational range is also rather impressive. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the battery only holds a charge for 20-25 min max so you might want to bring some other toys with you.

This 1/32nd scale model is the perfect size where space is somewhat limited for running a decent size track. A big plus is that these cars also look great while sitting on the shelf waiting for a turn on the track. Realistic looking, this model is a pleasure to watch, if you can move your head quick enough as it races by!

"It's more powerful than we thought and it drives through dirt and it goes on the back slope, if you don't mind getting a stick in the front wheel, maybe the rear one. It also has rear view mirrors that reflect. It can drive over your patio and it can get down the bump of your doorstep. And if you have rugs in the house, that are not too rough, then it can drive over that too. And it can drive around your family room rug and it can drive on your kitchen tile floor. And it can bump around your house and it can bump your toys."
Mom says: All in all, this was more fun and more powerful than we thought and expected it to be ... we would recommend it!
Dad says: This was pretty fun - much faster than I thought it would be, and it took lots of full speed head-on crashes right into walls and cabinets without any trouble. We will follow up on this review if it breaks any time soon, but so far so good - it's passed the 5 year old test! It does use up a lot of batteries, but I think they all do - this one may use more since it's pretty fast and we ride it on the carpet a lot, which I'm sure uses more power than flat tile or concrete.

(More customer reviews)This was my first foray into R/C ground vehicles. It is a great starter truck. A couple short-comings that I will look for on my next one are proportional steering, proportional throttle, and better torque. This truck has plenty of speed for indoors, and that is where I have run it most of the time. It has a lot of bang for the buck, I guess the next one will have to be more bucks! :-)

I wanted an inexpensive off road R/C vehicle that didn't cost much over $100. I'm not planning on racing, just something for the yard and driveway. Well, this fit the bill perfectly. It will crawl over grass, sidewalks, sand, small animals, almost anything that gets in it's way. It does exactly what you think those cheap R/C trucks SHOULD do but don't. I drove it in the rain and through shallow water and it did great. The only downside so far is the whine of the motors but it probably geared to heck to do all that it does. I paid less for it at Wally World so shop around.
+ two motors
+ true four wheel drive
+ AA batteries (not some battery pack that is hard to find)
+ good value for the money
+ good tires and suspension
- motor/gear whine
