My Little Pony Tropical Surprise Review

(More customer reviews)This is my favorite pony out of all of my My Little Pony's. I usually just call her Tropical. She is so fun I like to play where she has been on a island for along time living their on her own. For parents this can totally be a educational toy if they play with her that way. At first I could play with her in the water a little due to the twisty neck. The ones without the turning necks can to me and my mom stay in the water longer. But after about a year or two of having one of our dogs ate her ears off. Two words not cool. Sadly now i cant use her in the water at all. I have a Sky Wishes an from where in real life for us where our knee is down the same dog ate half the leg off. Three words so not cool. the clothes are really fun and all but the hula skirt does fall off the necklace stays on however but does move back into position when stretched out of position on. Still my favorite pony. When i found out i even cried about it! I'd say get this pony but if you have a dog or multiple dogs that eat things be careful with it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for a friend's little girl. She had just turned three years old and had been asking for a pony or anything pink. She loved the toy and the stickers. Be prepared to help with removing the packaging because some of the plastic is actually stitched to the pony's hair. For the price I paid, I was wishing it came with a brush or comb or some extra accessories. However, I received what I was expecting.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my four and two year old daughters. They love it and play with all the time. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that no brushes were included and that there is only one pony with wings and one unicorn pony. Of course this cause sharing issues. The ponies are the average My Little Pony size, lots of hair, and the heads twist. Over all my girls like these ponies and they are almost exactly as I remembered My Little Ponies.

Wind Drifter - Crystal Design Pony Review

(More customer reviews)The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that her butterfly 3D cutie mark looks like it fell off and somebody sanded the area and glued it back on, but it's hardly noticeable if you're not looking for defects. I donno, maybe the one I got wasn't new, but I don't wanna go blaming the seller if I don't know for sure. She sure was taped in like Hasbro did it! Her tail seems longer than usual, and her mane, though lovely, will ultimately need some creative styling, unless she's being used as a toy, which is precisely what she is, so mine still hasn't had much done to her hair, and she's really cute!!! The 3D cutie mark feels solid, but I don't wanna be rough with it to see if it will fall off. I would just recommend to any parent that this toy should be handled with care if given to any child who might become injured by a small fibreglass butterfly just in case it does come loose. I donno, I'm inspecting it pretty closely now, and I don't see any loose places, but again, I don't wanna get violent with her to see if her butterfly breaks off. Just tell your kids to "play nicely" like I do =) That seems to work! She's lovely, she's pretty, and she's cute, and that's what ponies are for in my opinion =)

(More customer reviews)Toola- Roola is lovely! I really enjoy the french look her hat gives her!!! And she has little brilliant streaks along her hair and purpurine down one of her hind legs, where she has her markings!
She's beautiful. The only thing that surprises me is that i already had another Toola- Roola when I got that one, and their coloring is completly different!

(More customer reviews)I have to say that she was the last one of the friends assortment .0002. I bought because, in my opinion, she is the less beautiful of the four. I was undecided about getting her or not, and in the end, when I got her out of the box I ended up loving her. She has a very beautiful mane (one of the reasons I had for getting her), and once outside her box she doesn't look so horrible with the tiara that I previously hated when she was in the box.

(More customer reviews)There's nothing wrong with this pony herself, mind you. She's a perfectly respectable pink plastic horse. I'm just tired of SEEING the dear.
She debuted with the 25th Anniversary collection, where she had a bunch of balloons. Then she was repackaged for Valentine's Day in a heart-shaped box. Then she had a few extra balloon tattoos stuck on. Then she had a party hat. Then a kite. Now it's October, and we're back to the tattoos again.
That's six releases of the exact same toy since January. Uh, Mattel? You remember that you DO have other ponies, right?
Actually, instead of releasing new ponies throughout 2008, Mattel's been repeatedly reissuing the same six or so models, just changing the accessory every so often and touting the product as a "new" toy. (Rainbow Dash, for example, has been through an umbrella, a tiara, and a leg tattoo this year.) The accessories are fun little bonuses, but they don't remotely merit repurchases.
Also, it's not nice to trick kids.
If you're shopping for a Pinkie Pie, then I suppose her party hat here goes well with her bunch-o'-balloons cutie mark. But, seriously, Mattel - you don't have to release at last year's breakneck pace, but you don't have to take Simpsons sarcasm as literal marketing advice, mmm'kay?

(More customer reviews)I collect My Little Pony figurines, have done since i was a kid and the originals came out. I'm very picky about which ponies I let into my collection and this girl made it in easily! So many of the "Generation 3" ponies are uninteresting color-wise, or a bit too frilly to go with my vibrant, punky, sparkling ponies from the 80s. I got my first Comic Con pony from a friend as a gift a few years ago, and now I want them all.
She came as a surprise gift from my husband, so I'm not sure how long the delivery time actually took, but it arrived in good shape. I haven't even noticed any shelf wear on the box itself, which means to me they are handling their product well; I used to work in a toy store and you'd be amazed how some of those toys get treated before they even hit the sales floor. This is also a reasonable price compared to what some eBay and pony trading forum sellers will put these on the block for; I recently saw this one for sale on eBay for $90, and another that I own on sale for $150. Crazy!
I haven't seen inside the Comic Con ponies, but I can only assume they also have metal washers to keep their tails in place. Tail rust can usually be cleaned up with a bit of Oxy Clean, but to prevent it, don't take her in the tub or leave her in a damp environment. I'd like to hear how the paint wears from some parents whose kids are playing with these; the 80s ponies paint often rubs off with lots of loving attention. :)

(More customer reviews)My kids add this little set to Pinkie Pies balloon house, essentially toola Roola comes with a fridge and a raft of food - there is things on plate, fruit, there is milk and other bits and pieces which all stack away nicely in the vaguely off-beat shaped fridge. It is kind of soft and reminiscent of the 50's rather than sleek aluminium of the our times.
Lots of fun for the kids loading and unloading things and pushing them around for shopping trips etc - a great addition for the ponyville set if you are looking to increase your village activities
