(More customer reviews)Race to the finish. This game is fun because it is fairly short. In homeschooling it is good to have lots of educational games on hand. The short ones are better because the children don't lose concentration and they do learn something.
Description:
You move your playing piece forward by answereing multiple choice questions on your turn. eg. How long is a foot? a. 12 inches b. 18 inches c. 6 inches
If you answer correctly you move your piece forward until somebody reaches the finish line.
Great educational game for about grades 2 to 4. Some of the questions will be a bit tricky for grade 2 and most would be easy for grade 4.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this archaeology kit for my daughter, who teaches fourth grade, and my grandsons, who are seven and nine years old. They loved it. It was educational, fun, and the boys loved helping Mom carefully excavate the inside of the pyramid. I don't believe my grandsons could have read the instructions and completed the tasks alone, but it was a great learning experience for all of them and a wonderful activity for the family.

(More customer reviews)This is a great product. Kristal Educational does a fantastic job in teaching archaeology, palentology, astronomy, or geology through a toy.
This toy also teaches patience and perseverance. Sure, there is a mess issue, but it can be easily contained by simply using newsaper, a little attentiveness, and a "project area".
Note: This is a "project" toy. It does take some time to complete. I would not recommend it to any child that has a low attention level.
My daughter received the Wooly Mammoth Dig Kit as a gift and she enjoyed it immensely. She still proudly displays it today.

(More customer reviews)Basically you receive a block of sandstone that comes with one excavation tool (a stick) and a brush. My kids chopped at this block for about a 1/2 hour - 45 minutes to get at all the hidden treasures which was 1 sarcophagus and 4 canopic jars. Then they had fun pulverizing the rest of the brick into pieces to make sure there wasn't anything else. After wards, my daughter carried her treasures around with her for a day or two and more recently has quite forgotten about them. I recommend Lift The Lid On Mummies for longer lasting and educational value - it seemed to be the better deal of the two I bought.

This kit is educational and fun! This exciting dig kit includes 2 fascinating Egyptian treasures dug out of a 4.5" x 8" gypsum sand plaster block with a chisel and a brush. Use the digging tools to gently scrape away the plaster in order to reveal the treasures. Each set contains two "assorted" Egyptian discoveries. Discoveries can include Bust of Nefertiti & King Tut Mask. Sarcophagi, Horus & Bast figurines, Ramesses' chariot and Sphinx, and kneeling and sitting statues of Hatshepsut.
