(More customer reviews)The Mattel Hot Wheels 1966 TV Batmobile Super Elite is a super disappointment for the price. The $100-ish "elite" version looks almost identical and is $200 cheaper! A couple of metal pieces and a plastic antenna do not make a $200 difference. The baggy looking parachute packs looks inaccurate and ridiculous. Overall, the car is overpriced and very inaccurate compared to the actual TV car. The two lower end models are much better values for the money...I suggest buying one of them and customizing them to look like the TV car!

This 1/18 scale diecast car represents hands-down the greatest collectible ever produced for the famous '66 Batmobile from the legendary "Batman & Robin" TV series. And with all the press surrounding the latest "The Dark Knight" feature film, Batman is hotter than ever! Now you can get your hands on the ULTIMATE collectible for the car that started it all!Hot Wheels has really outdone themselves with this piece. It's the next evolution of their already fantastic Elite series. And we don't have to tell any of you hardcore collectors this, but a production run that low is simply unheard of for the toy giant that is used to cranking out millions of toy cars. To say that this is going to be one valuable collectible in the future is an understatement. Whether you're a Batman fan, an aficianado of the original Lincoln Futura concept car that customizer George Barris turned into this Batmobile, or just a collector of really rare and unique pieces, this is one piece that belongs in your collection!
