(More customer reviews)I've been waiting for these figures for months- since they were first announced earlier this year. And once pictures of them surfaced this summer, I was 50/50 on them. Upon ordering the Max/Alexander set and Carol here, I can safely say that I have no desire to pick up the rest of these figures. My McFarlane set is more than enough!
For those who don't know- Medicom's VCD line is usually pretty good. They cover Marvel, Star Wars and a few other licenses, and usually do the VCDs in a stylish look, plus include a little articulation- usually the arms. These for WTWTA, have nothing. They don't even feel like they should cost as much as they do. In fact, they come off as more of a kind of piggy bank, minus the slot. Carol is very light, and just plain feels cheap. Medicom did good on the sculpt, but trust me when I say that he looks much different in the face in-person than he does in stock pictures. The eyes and mouth are hideous and almost killed my day with how poorly done they are. At least he's a good size- about 8 inches tall, and his tail isn't sculpted to the body so you can take it on and off as you please. When it comes down to it though, there just isn't much I can say as far as the positives of this figure go.
If you're considering picking these figures up, you're better off waiting to see them in a store and hold them in your hand before just going and ordering a couple, let alone the whole set. I can see myself selling these within the next year, while holding onto my McFarlane figures. At least those didn't disappoint me in any way.
