The track is wider than other brands and the curve radius' are large, the down side of this is that their sets require more space to set up. The track is also more rigid [a harder plastic] than scalextric, scx etc.
Carrera 1/32 & 1/24 sets may not be the best choice for very young children. The harder track will crack if stepped on, and the highly detailed cars will quickly have trim pieces broken off [they will still run as long as any other brand - just look a little scruffy if repeatedly crashed].
For adults looking to recapture childhood memories or older children, Carrera products are VERY High Quality and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
