(More customer reviews)I have purchased some of the other 4D vision models...the frog, the
rhinoceros beetle, the dinosaurs. ALL GREAT kits! Beautifully sculpted
and painted and in general, very easy "snap together" kits to build.
This kit, however, was definitely a challenging PUZZLE, in every sense of the word!
Hard to piece together, even for an adult! So those of you buying this
for, or putting it together for children, BEWARE! Really examine the pieces
and figure out how they all go together before building! It requires
some tricky maneuvering of the parts, to get them all within the shell
properly! If one doesn't get the shell together snugly, the clear pieces won't
snap into place well. Some of the other interior pieces also don't fit together
snugly, so don't let that discourage you. Once you CAN get it all together, it's
a really neat little toy! Just be ready to have LOTS of patience with it! I can't imagine
a 12 year old child being able to comfortably build this!!! The frog and
rhinoceros beetle are a breeze to put together, compared to this one! But
again, these pieces are all sculpted and pre-painted very nicely. So, because
of the level of complexity in putting this critter together, I can't give
it an excellent rating, unfortunately.
