(More customer reviews)This unit allows you to play four different kinds of Klondike, 2 Las Vegas style (which you can never win) and 2 normal style, 1 card up and 3 card up, plus it has a timer which you can invoke. I'm a fan of 3 card up standard, which I can win over 10% of the time. e-solitaire adds a point value system that gives you a maximum of 745 points: 5 points to uncover a card, 5 points to get a card down on the field (including aces if you want maximum points), and 10 points if you get a card onto the suit deck. So far so good, but the system takes away 20 points per run through the deck, and does this in an arbitrary fashion. IF you get over 100 points on your first run through and IF the last card on the deck can be placed onto the field, THEN (maybe) the system won't subtract 20 points, but often it will no matter what you do or how many points you get. As you proceed through the game and get above 200 or so points it will then rarely take away points. The issue here is that it seems to be quite arbitrary in taking away 20 points: sometimes it does; sometimes it doesn't. My real question is: who made up this rule anyway? But, it's mindless, so I need to get a life. The unit goes through batteries pretty fast.
