(More customer reviews)This set is excellent. There are a lot of components, a book with a bunch of projects, and an educational book about electronics, all of which are good. My kids are 9 and 12, and both of them like the set, especially the projects that involve sound activated alarms and such. They experiment, and they rig alarms to startle each other, and they gain a little intuition about how electricity works at the same time.
We did have a piece break; one of the snaps came apart on one of the more fun (read "noisy") components, but I contacted the company and they quickly sent replacement at no charge.
I highly recommend it.
