(More customer reviews)I love the product title of this thing, which opens to at least one possible alternative interpretation: are these tickets only for buying purple liquor?
I love the fact that Amazon.com somehow classifies this as a toy and wants to know how much fun it is, when its title has "liquor" in it, and "LIQUOR" is printed on it, along with an aggressively frothy (frothy liquor?) bottle. Well, if you love pulling little perforated tickets apart--a coupla thousand times--then it's mighty fun. And given that when you turn over the right amount of these tickets and you get a drink or two or ten, well, that can be lots of fun, too.
(Note that Amazon.com, exercising true corporate responsibility and boldly second-guessing its vendor, recommends that ages 6 and up are appropriate for this product, while the manufacturer goes all-out in saying 0 months and up is the right demographic. I'm 47, and managed just fine.)
And it's educational value? Given the fact that I used four of these ticket rolls for a rugby fundraiser at the French embassy in Washington, DC for the express purpose of selling beer, wine and mixed drinks, I'd have to declare that I don't really believe any educational activity resulted.
As for durability, it gets two stars only because the pink color didn't run horribly as soon as you slapped one of these tickets into a sweaty palm. They didn't hold up that well--we did not use them more than once--because the paper is pretty low-grade, flimsy, and doesn't travel/handle well.
Bottom line: overall, this neato toy did what is was supposed to, and for the perfectly reasonable price of only $0.00199 per ticket.
