(More customer reviews)While these sets are not a complete reading program, they offer a good base for homeschool families with a interest in phonics-based reading. The stories are a bit silly, and the illustrations are well done. The rods are an enjoyable manipulative with many uses beyond the texts themselves. The activities included with each book extend the learning.
