(More customer reviews)This cape is constructed from a heavy linen material and the straps are (disappointingly) imitiation leather and is much lighter in color when compared to leather on other licensed 300 merchandise such as the codpiece and scabbard for the sword. The garment is worn by slipping your head through the hole and fastening the secure harness system in the back. The folds and creases in the garment seem to be starched in. To give you an idea of the length, I am 5'11" and the bottom of the cape is about 1" from the floor.
The linen used seems to be upholstery grade. It is heavy and drapes very nicely when worn. The down side to this is that the wearer's back can get quite warm. I was a little sweaty after trying mine on. It's also a bit itchy on the shoulders and around the neck. The actual color is a deeper red and the aging and "battle damage" is much more pronounced than the stock photo. The bottom of the cape has been stained and frayed to look like it has been dragged through the dirt. There are several char marks, small holes and what I can only assume are blood stains. It looks just like the ones worn in the final battle scene in the film.
