(More customer reviews)Looking at the pictures online for this PVC I was really excited it looked perfect but then when I receive it and take it out of the box I notice Lain's coat and shirt are smeared with a grease/dirt substance. This stuff was applied quite liberally which from the pictures was not the intention of the original design. The pictures only have a very slight application of this substance to give it a nice shading quality but the application of the substance in the mass production obviously wasn't capable of applying this subtlety. The end result looks like Lain's coat and shirt were drenched in mud.

The character Lain is from the anime series Serial Experiments Lain. The story is about an adolescent girl in suburban Japan named Lain Iwakura, and her introduction to the Wired, an international computer network. The original idea of the series was produced by production 2nd, the story was written by Chiaki J. Konaka, the original character design was done by Yoshitoshi Abe and it was directed by Ryutaro Nakamura. This figure stands 6-inches high and features a fantastic sculpt based on the character artwork.
