(More customer reviews)I recently purchased another product made by Gentle Giant (a Jason Voorhees/Friday the 13th mini-bust) and was just blown away by the quality. That one made me an instant fan of the company and their products, and made me comfortable enough to buy one of their larger more expensive statues -- this statue of Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress. Let me tell you, I'm glad I did.
This statue is gorgeous. Really, the photo here on Amazon does not do it justice. It's huge, and incredibly detailed. The craftsmanship that Gentle Giant puts into each of their pieces is really quite astounding. From the intricacies of the sculpt to the precision of the paint-job this is really something special.
The piece is quite heavy and feels very sturdy. I have it on a chest of drawers, and thus the statue will get shaken as drawers are taken in and out, but thing is so heavy and the base is so wide that I have concerns of it falling or getting broken.
Some minor assembly is required, but the pieces fit together snugly and securely -- should take you no longer than 60 seconds before you have this beauty together, ready to enjoy.
If you're a fan of Gentle Giant or Star Wars, this is very highly recommended.
