(More customer reviews)The days seem to be gone when any kid or other customer could saunter into the local wooden-floored Five and Dime and pick up an assortment of glass marbles for just a few of those dimes. But then, the Internet is so good at spotting items still in production even if not easily available at retail (you'll waste your time at the big box). These are attractive glass marbles, 40 "mibs" or players (usually five-eights of an inch or 16 mm in diameter) and one "shooter" (one inch in diameter, ca. 25 mm).
Pretty marbles like this are generally more expensive to produce than the flat Chinese-checker colors or the frosted ones. The price is attractive but I am a little suprised that the shipping is so high considering that this item probably weighs not much more than a pound (I am forced to speculate because of gaps in the product info.). I do notice, though, that if one orders more than $25 worth of product from this specific vendor then the shipping is free.
