(More customer reviews)We all remember the original Furby craze - little electronic "friends" that spoke in Furbish. Well, they are back but with some new features and the ability to speak English eventually. Right out of the box the little guy will speak mostly in a Furbish/English mix. Fortunatley it understands spoken English so you can ask it to do things like tell a joke, sing a song, or tell a story. This Furby has great facial expressions which give the owner a clue as to what it is "feeling". Gone is the light sensor of the old Furby (not sure what that was used for anyway). He's a bit larger than the original, but also much more animal-like in it's behavior. More natural. If you hold it close you will believe the toy is watching you.
The more you interact with the toy, the more English words it speaks. A great new feature is the ability to tell Furby to go to sleep. And you can now turn it off with a power switch located between it's feet.
The toy is sturdy and the battery life seems to be pretty good. Expect children about 7 on up (depending on child), will love Furby. Also gadget and robot enthusiasts will be fascinted.
