(More customer reviews)House of 1000 Corpses was finally released in 2003, NECA picked up the license for the movie right around the time the sequel was gearing up for a release. The figures that were originally released have skyrocketed in price. Thankfully they've released what is the definitive House action figure in the form of the film's most popular character "Captain Spaulding."
Lets talk about the pros first. The face sculpt is top notch from the grease paint, to the beard, right down to the crooked and rotting teeth. The costume is also 100% movie accurate. He has a fair amount of articulation on his upper half with ball jointed arms, elbows, and head, you've also got movement at his waist and on his hands. You can get the guy in a few decent poses.
The only real gripe with this guy is the lack of a base. The only accessories you get with Spaulding are interchangable hands, hat, and a very flimsy cardboard image for the background. The price of action figures are rising and it's very dissapointing that NECA has decided to opt out of including bases for their figures.
So if you're a fan of Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses this little guy is right up your alley, he's better than any of NECA's previous releases and the price is very affordable.
